Ethan wanted to run into his arms and hug him. He wanted to say how miserable their life was all these years, how much Vicky suffered to raise him up, how much humiliation she received from the neighbours and so on.

He didn't want to do that as much as he wants to do because he wants his father to be proud of him. He wanted to show him that he would make him proud even if he won't acknowledge their relationship.

Ethan Rogers felt a sense of security by the time Samuel approached him. He firmly believed that his father would never let him down and his mother.

After his meeting with his father Samuel, Ethan started to think of how to make Vicky accept to this contract. He knew very well that,

"She may accept the contract is in N city, she will definitely reject it if she knows that it is in C city. C city did have any good memories for her"

So he started his plan by telling her to accept the contract by explaining how he got it. He didn't mention anything about Samuel or Vinny. He wanted to give her surprise. He told her to let go of the past,

E: "Mom, it's really a great opportunity for you and for me too. Please accept it. I know I shouldn't have took the sample without your permission but you really need to go out from this city"

V: "Will you stop acting like an adult..? We are doing just fine with what we have now. Others may think that you are my father not my son.."

E: " Well we both don't have father's.."

When Ethan said that Vicky's face changed. Because she never experienced father's love and Ethan also didn't have the chance to know his father let alone experience it. She didn't know how to comfort him. She tried to grab him but he said

" If you accept it we can start a new life, who knows I can find a new father too..." with that he left for his room leaving Vicky dumbstruck.

Vicky Rogers never know that Ethan would suggest to get a new father. Though she is still in her twenties her heart closed for any feelings. The hurt she got from her first love is still fresh in her mind. She never intend to find another man even for Ethan because if the man neglect him she would never forgive herself. But Ethan's behaviour this day made her think that she might have made a big mistake.

Ethan was very mature in this small age and he could deal with anyone. He was very protective and overbearing. She looked at the contract that she received in the morning with a blank expression.

After that Ethan started to ignore her and going out more often. At first Vicky thought that he might be bored, but she couldn't accept his silent treatment and hunger strike. Her only happiness in this world is his son. She tried hard to speak to him but avoided her.

Two days later Ethan deliberately made Vicky follow him. He went to a park nearby their house and sat there for a long time. Vicky hid herself by a tree and watched him looking at the other families. Her heart broke into pieces.

"Did he start to miss father's love....? Am I too selfish for not searching his father thoroughly..? Does he hate me for not letting us leave this place..?"
