Chapter 6 She Does Not Want to Marry Lucas

Staring at the man's proud back, Mollie finally came to her senses and realized that the man literally wanted to marry her.

But the look in his eyes did not seem to be friendly. Maybe he just wanted to marry her to avenge himself.

Thinking of this, she blurted out and shouted at him. "I will not marry you!"

She was twenty years old. How could she get married at such a young age? Besides, they had met each other only twice, and memories about the first meeting were not pleasant at all. Was it ridiculous if the two got married?

Lucas looked back, curled his lips into a charming, dazzling smile, saying, "It's not up to you."

After he left, Stanley sighed and said, "You all know that nobody can change the decision my son made. Mollie is the daughter of Mrs. Crook and the grandchild of your Crook Family. Then, let Mollie Marry into our family."

Although the result was not ideal for Alec, it was way better than canceling the marriage contract. Mollie was not her biological person, but she was at least his daughter nominally. Through the marriage, the Crook Family would build up an intimate relationship with the Goodwin Family and gain countless benefits.

"Alright, then, as long as Lucas is satisfied." Although Alec felt as uncomfortable as if he had swallowed a fly, he still had to flatter the other man due to the status gap between them.

"I won't marry him!" Mollie stood up and said with a gloomy expression on her face. How could these people decide her marriage without even asking her opinion?

"Mollie, mind your manners," Susan said in a grave tone and made an eye gesture to her daughter.

If it were something else, Mollie might follow her mother's arrangements as she always did. However, she did not want to compromise on marriage. "Sorry, but I want to take charge of my own marriage. Excuse me."

With that, she quickly left. Touching the wine glass in his hand, Stanley found the entire thing hilarious as both the man and the woman related to the marriage in question were gone.

Differently, the man insisted on marrying, while the woman insisted on not marrying.

However, Mollie was special. Countless girls were desperate to marry into the Goodwin Family, but she was unwilling. Meanwhile, it seemed that Lucas was quite interested in her. Stanley thought to himself that Mollie might be Lucas's destined lover.

Then, Stanley raised his eyes and smiled at Alec, saying, "Lucas has made it clear. As for whether Mollie is willing to marry him or not, it depends on you. I will not participate."

Then, he got up and left.

Sophie slammed the cup in her hand to the ground.

"Susan, your daughter is good at seducing men just like you."

That excellent man was initially supposed to become Sophie's husband. At the critical moment, however, he turned to Mollie.

"I wondered why you brought her here. It turns out to be a stratagem."

"Sophie, shut up! I asked Mollie to come over." Alec knew his daughter's temper. When she and Susan had conflicts at home, he usually turned a blind eye to them. But if Mollie did marry into the Goodwin Family, he would have to rely on Mollie to gain those attractive benefits. Therefore, he could not allow Sophie to offend Susan at present.

"Alec, mind your attitude. I understand that Sophie is feeling aggravated and aggrieved. And I'm fine that she is taking her anger out on me." Susan was in such a great mood that she did not care about being cursed by Sophie at all.

"Stop pretending to be considerate to me. You make me sick. I'm telling you, Mollie is a sparrow and will always be. Even if she is given a chance to fly to a high branch, she will never become a phoenix. We'll see."
