Chapter 8 Marriage Licenses

Lucas was leaning lazily on the black Rolls-Royce Phantom at the school gate, with his eyes narrowed slightly and his arms crossed before his chest. Staring at the college students coming and going, he somehow sighed with emotion at the elapse of his youth.

All students passed by involuntarily cast a glance at him. His handsome, gorgeous face was enough to fascinate thousands of young girls.

As if he was used to other people's attention, Lucas did not feel discomfort at all. Instead, he was looking forward to the appearance of that woman's stubborn figure.

The moment Mollie stepped out of the campus, she noticed Lucas's striking face and the standoffish vibe he gave off.

Looking at his luxury car and then at the reaction of the students around him, Mollie rolled her eyes and thought, "Well, he simply doesn't know how to keep a low profile, does he?"

Helplessly, she tilted her head to one side and headed forward as if she did not see the man.

However, before she could go away, a broad, big hand grabbed her wrist. "Mollie, get in the car."

Lucas was aware that the woman deliberately ignored him. Therefore, there was an angry look in his eyes.

Mollie was pushed into the passenger seat. Then, Lucas asked her with a gloomy expression on his face, "You don't want to marry at all, do you?"

"No, I don't. Since you know, why must you marry me?"

She hit him the first time they met. Her image in his heart must be alcoholic and violent. What kind of man would be willing to marry such a woman?

Was he a man with some quirks?

"I need to marry a girl from the Crook Family, and you look slightly more pleasing than Sophie in my eyes. That's all." Lucas had a straightforward personality. Besides, he was seven years older than Mollie. Therefore, he was frank with her.

After a good while, Mollie replied in a severe tone of voice, "We can get marriage licenses, but I have to conditions. Before I graduate from college, let's not hold a wedding or have sex with each other."

Although she reached the legal age for marriage, that was twenty, she did not want her classmates to see her differently.

"I agree with both of your conditions, but you must live with the Goodwin Family."

Lucas never had sex with a woman he was not emotionally bonded with. Also, Mollie was still a student. He was not that shameless.

But if she did not live in the Goodwin Family, he worried that the other members of the Goodwin Family would suspect their marriage to be fake.

"Okay, deal!" As long as she did not have to return to the Crook Family, Mollie was fine with wherever she would live.

The two had a simple meal and then headed straight to the Civil Affairs Bureau. As Brain Mathew, Lucas' assistant, had lined up for them, they went through the procedures smoothly when they arrived at the place.

The moment Mollie got the marriage certificate, she shed tears without warning.

She once thought that the other name on her marriage license would be Jalen, whose smile was gentle, warm, and healing.

Even if it was not Jalen, it should be someone who loved and cherished her.

However, it was a stranger's name on it. Was her marriage destined to be a tragedy?

After walking out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, Mollie could not help crying out loud.

People around them cast strange glances at them. Lucas hurriedly pressed her head in his arms and said in a low voice through his clenched teeth, "Why are you crying at such a place? Other people will think I forced you to marry me."

It was countless women's dream to marry him. However, Mollie burst into a rage of tears in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau and embarrassed him in public.

If she were not a woman, he would beat her up without hesitation.
