Chapter 9 Is He Pedophiliac?

Mollie broke away from him and cried more fiercely. "You did force me to marry you. I said I didn't want to marry you, and you threatened my mother with Alec's company."

"Jesus Christ. How could a man force a little girl like this?" One onlooker said.

"Yeah, it looks like he is much older than the young lady. He isn't a pedophile, is he?" Another onlooker echoed.

Even Lucas, who was well-bred, wanted to curse those onlookers. A pedophile? Were they stupid? How could a juvenile be allowed to obtain a marriage certificate?

It was literally his first time feeling so awkward. Then, he bent over, picked Mollie up, and hurried towards his vehicle.

In the car, Mollie still cried non-stop as if she wanted to cry out all the grievances in her heart.

Lucas never coaxed a girl before, sitting in the driver's seat and feeling helpless.

After letting the girl cry for a while, Lucas felt so upset that he could not help yelling, "Shut up! Or I'll throw you into the river."

At this moment, Mollie had been crying for a good while and felt much better inside. Being yelled at by the man and staring at the roaring river outside the window, she actually stopped her weep.

She recalled that Lydia said Lucas had a violent tendency. As a fragile woman, she had to behave well at this moment.

Upon seeing the woman's aggrieved expression, Lucas felt his heart instantly softened. He took a piece of tissue and handed it to her, saying, "Wipe away the tears. I will take you to buy some clothes, and together we'll go to the house of the Goodwin Family for dinner."

Mollie pursed her lips unwillingly. However, since she had married into the Goodwin Family, she had to meet the family members sooner or later.

She was indeed fine with purchasing some new clothes since the man would pay them for her.

Lucas took her to Mondia Mall, the largest mall in City Empire, where the clothes, even the underwear cost 6 figures.

Mollie accompanied Lydia several times to come here before, but she had never bought anything herself.

"I'll give you half an hour to buy ten sets of clothes, shoes, and jewelry," Lucas said to Mollie with an indifferent look in his eyes.

Mollie was confused. "What's the matter with you? Half an hour? Not to mention ten sets. It's barely enough to try on one set." Half an hour was not enough for her to browse around.

"Who said you should try them on? Follow me." Lucas dragged Mollie into a magnificent jewelry store without giving her a chance to say no.

Then, under the surprised gaze of Mollie and the shopping guide, Lucas mechanically pointed at various precious diamond necklaces, agate bracelets, etc., saying, "This, this and that, wrap them all up for me!"

Five minutes later, the cashier reported a seven-digit figure. Lucas expressionlessly took out a black card, handed it to her, and then left with Mollie.

Then, he took Mollie to the second floor and swiftly bought ten sets of clothes and ten pairs of shoes in the same way.

This time, he kindly reminded the shopping guide to take those clothes in line with Mollie's measurements. Clothes were different from jewelry as they had various sizes.

"Look, it only took 28 minutes from beginning to end. Half an hour was more than enough."

Lucas's superior attitude irritated Mollie badly.

"These items are for me. You should at least ask me if I like them or not, shouldn't you?" In fact, Mollie thought those clothes the man had purchased were either too ornate or enchanting, and none of them was her style.

Lucas shoved a bunch of different sized paper bags into Mollie's hands, saying, "It doesn't matter whether you like them or not, as long as they can bolster your new title as the wife of me, Lucas Goodwin."

Mollie rolled her eyes as the man was clearly saying that he was disgusted with her shabby clothes.

She thought to herself, "If you dislike me, you should not marry me in the first place. I don't want to be your wife at all."

After cursing Lucas inwardly, she found the man was far away when she came to her senses.

She lowered her head to look at the bags in her hands with helplessness and trotted to catch up with her newly-married husband.
