Chapter 4 Ouch, It Hurts

Mervyn just kissed her without further moves.

She had a husband. It was against his rule to sleep with her!

"Mmm... hot!"

Harriet knew not what to do or what she wanted but only felt unpleasant. Why did she fail in a thing every woman could do? If she was not sick, Steve wouldn't have hooked up with his assistant?

"Are you picking me up or not? Are you a man?"

Mervyn toughened his mind and disregarded the fact that she has a husband!

His kiss was passionate, brusque, and overbearing. Harriet was carried away!

When his body stuck to hers, Harriet shivered slightly.

The warmth of his breaths brushed past her ear and lingered at her neck. His mighty arms encircled her tightly.

Harriet closed her eyes tightly, and her breathing became disorderly.

The strange movement was like a drop of ink that suddenly spread in the water...

"Ouch!" Her eyes turned red with the unbearable pain.

Mervyn's brows furrowed. Why did it hurt her so much?

But he couldn't stop there...

They were stripped off!

It was a restless night...

Early the next morning.

"Mmm, ow..."

When Harriet woke up, the hangover was so severe that her head was still dizzy.

She sat up and felt a tearing, burning pain from her groin... The pitter-patter of water went into her ears?

Harriet stiffened and mechanically turned in the direction of the bathroom... Through the frosted glass, she could vaguely see a man bathing inside!

Ah!

Harriet almost screamed out. In a hurry, she covered her mouth.

What happened last night flooded her mind!

She... somehow slept with a man?

Harriet bit her fingers, unable to believe it.

But the pain from her body remained her of the hard truth...

Harriet got out of bed, "Ow..."

She couldn't help groaning. This hurt like hell! Even her legs trembled.

Since she was suffering from a psychological disorder, the experience last night was not really a good one. Except for pain... she could feel nothing... and that man's feeling was unknown.

Bearing the ache, she hurriedly put on her clothes. Before the man came out, she should go as fast as she could.

On a second thought...

Didn't she pick up the man? Harriet frowned and didn't want to take advantage of him for free. Men and women were equal nowadays, so she should pay for him.

However, she didn't have a penny in her pocket at the moment!

Her wallet and cell phone were all left in the booth...

What should she do?

Harriet frowned and picked up a magazine from the shelf. Instead of reading it, she tore off a page and wrote in the margins...

"Sir, I'll pay you for what happened last night but didn't carry my wallet and cell phone. So, I'm leaving you my WeChat ID... I'll wire transfer the 'service fee' and the room fee to you. Please tell me the room number, okay?"

Reassured, Harriet put down the note, turned around, and got out of the room...

With a crashing, the bathroom door opened, and Mervyn came out with a towel around his waist.

He looked up at the bed... empty?

He pulled a long face and curled up his lip to sneer, "Humph! Running away so fast!"

After a knock on the door, Richard Payne, his special assistant, dashed in, "Mr. Brook, your car is ready."

The torn magazine page flew with the wind and was then caught by Mervyn's rising hand...

The magazine happened to be his coverage. There was a picture... of his side face.

His face on the picture was covered by characters.

Mervyn knitted his eyebrows and muttered, "Sir, last night..."

His face suddenly turned livid while his lips curved up in a sneer, "Heh."
