Chapter 6 They Don't Have a Mother

They got a match.

And judging from Henry's similar features with his, she was certain that he was their father.

Kira let out a sigh, stroked their heads, and spoke in a reluctant voice, "Since your father is here, go home with him."

"No, I want to stay with mommy!" Henry shouted.

Betty followed suit, "I also want to stay with my mommy."

Kira was surprised…

Betty held her neck tightly and would not let go.

Henry also held onto her thigh.

Kira could only look at Clyde.

Although she was dissatisfied with the unworthy dad, this was their domestic matter. As an outsider, she couldn't comment much.

"Mr. Myers, looks like they want their mother. Didn't she come along?" She suppressed her anger and asked him calmly.

Betty tugged at her collar, and two buttons got loose.

Kira didn't notice it, but Clyde looked down and saw a nice view.

Feeling a tickle in his throat, he coughed, "They don't have a mother."

Kira tightly knitted her brows.

The two poor little things didn't have a mother and had such an unreliable father.

At the thought of the baby she gave birth to, she was overcome with sadness. Anyway, since the other party was rich, the little one should be leading a good life.

She dismissed her thought. Since both kids didn't want to go home, she couldn't force them, otherwise, they would be very sad.

She brought Betty and Henry back into the room.

Clyde followed her in.

It was a standard one-bedroom apartment. Usually, when Kira lived there on her own, she found it spacious enough. With the two kids added, she still felt fine. When the man got in, however, she somehow felt crowded.

Probably because he was too tall.

Unhappy to see his face, she silently poured a cup of water for him and let him sit on the sofa.

Then she went to the kitchen to cook food for the little ones.

Betty and Henry followed her closely like her shadow.

In a short while, a plate of fruit-flavored cookies was baked.

It tasted delicious to go with sweet and sour ice cream. The kids lay prone on the table and ate happily.

They played around and fell asleep out of exhaustion.

The heavy rain subsided quite a lot outside, and it was getting dark.

Kira came to the living room and sat down across from Clyde.

He looked at her nonchalantly with his deep eyes.

Kira couldn't see through his thought.

She had to break the silence, "Mr. Myers, Betty and Henry are already asleep, and the rain stops."

Clyde nodded, "Mm."

Kira's brows furrowed.

This man couldn't take a hint?

In that case, she had to put it bluntly, " Mr. Myers, you can take them back…"

Before she could finish, an attractive and pleasant male voice came over.

"I'm usually very busy with work and have little quality time to spend with them. I need to thank you for taking care of them in the past two days."

Facing his sincere expressions, Kira was somehow lost for words.

It made sense. It required both extensive care and money for a man to raise two children.

Kira couldn't help but sympathize with the poor single father.

Clyde detected the change of expressions on her face and added, "Miss Perry, I want to ask you for a favor."
