Chapter 7 Helping Me Take Care of the Kids
Kira was surprised, "Please go ahead."
"I hope you can help me take care of them for a couple of days."
Kira really liked the two kids but was too busy during the day to play with them.
At the sight of her quandary, Clyde added, "I'm going to find a cushy job and thus will be busy in the following days."
Kira looked relieved and asked him, "You mean you'll have time to stay with them in a couple of days?"
He slightly curled up his lips, "You can say that."
"Okay, deal, I'll take care of them for a few days." Kira agreed readily.
Clyde gazed at the firm expression on her fair face, and the corners of his lips curved up slowly.
…
Drops of rain were trickling down the eaves.
Clyde walked out, took a look at Kira's small apartment, and then strode into the car.
He instructed the bodyguard and driver, "Get more bodyguards here."
The bodyguard immediately replied, "Yes, sir. We'll guarantee the safety of the little master and the little lady."
"Not only them."
The bodyguard asked curiously, "Sir, who else should we protect?"
Clyde folded his arms before his chest, looked out of the window with his gloomy eyes, and curled up his lips, "Kira Perry."
…
The next morning.
As soon as Kira woke up, she saw Henry already dressed. He was helping his sister to put on her socks.
The boy was only three years old yet so sensible. It sent a pang of distress through her heart.
If they had a loving mother, they wouldn't have to do this at such a young age.
She immediately got up, held Betty, put her shoes on, and braided two beautiful pigtails for her.
Henry stared at them with amazement, "Impressive, mommy."
Kira stroked his head with a smile.
Due to the heavy rain yesterday, she didn't go out to purchase fresh vegetables and thus had no ingredients to cook at home.
Holding Betty in her arms and grabbing Henry by the hand, she took them to a time-honored breakfast store.
The shop owner was an old couple who loved children. As soon as she came in with the two kids, they served them breakfast immediately.
There were foods like buns and bean curd jelly.
As big eaters, Henry and Betty finished up their portions.
After breakfast, she took them to her TCM clinic.
Darren also came over. Since Kira needed to treat the patients, she left the two children in Darren's care.
Luckily, they were not naughty like their peers.
Except for pranking Darren, they wouldn't do anything bad. When Kira was busy, they even tried to help her out.
Betty poured water for Kira while Henry massaged her shoulders and legs.
The twins were so lovely…
After the last patient left, Kira quickly closed the clinic. Carrying Betty and towing Henry, she went to a large indoor amusement park nearby.
The park was well-equipped, and the tickets were quite expensive.
Anyhow, Kira could afford it.
The two little ones were not interested in the facilities favored by their peers and only liked to play with her.
Kira took them to play the carousel and bumper cars before leading them out.
"Mommy, I want to eat your noodles!"
"Me too!"
Kira just wanted to ask them if they wanted to eat out. The two kids began to shout one after another.
Without a choice, she took them back home and cooked noodles for them.
