Chapter 10 Going for Dinner
Clyde instructed the servant at the door, "Go get Derick."
"Yes, sir."
Soon after the servant left, Derick rushed over.
"Sir, what can I be of service?" He asked with a smile.
At that moment, on the big screen, Kira finished shopping and took the kids back home.
Clyde slightly curved up his lips, "Find a way to give her money."
"Huh?" Derick thought he had an illusion and asked in surprise, "Sir, what do you want to give Miss Perry?"
"Give her some money without her knowledge."
"Er…" Derick asked again, "How much are you giving her?"
Clyde knitted his brows and thought for a while, "Let's say 10 million yuan."
Perplexed, Derick stood there still.
Clyde took a glance at him indifferently.
Derick reasoned awkwardly, "Sir, ten million yuan is nothing to you but a large sum to Miss Perry."
Clyde's brows furrowed, "You have a problem with that?"
"Certainly not!" He was more than happy to see him having an interest in a woman, "But, sir, Miss Perry is not a greedy person nor short of money. You can give her when you get married."
Clyde sulked, "How do you know she's not short of money?"
Derick laughed and replied seriously, "Don't underestimate her TCM clinic. She has lots of customers every day, and I've introduced it to many old friends. Moreover, as far as I've heard, she has trained lots of elites and opened many branches. Her income is quite stable."
"Really?"
"Certainly!"
Clyde turned back and continued to watch the image on the big screen.
Before his eyes, Kira deftly carried the vegetables and held Betty in her arms. He slightly changed countenance, and the corners of his lips curved up involuntarily.
The little woman could make money and manage the household. In the future, she could definitely manage his assets well.
Just then, a chubby face suddenly took up the big screen.
While nibbling on a crab fresh out of the pot, Henry showed off, "Daddy, the crab cooked by mommy is so good. Too bad you can't eat it, but don't worry, I'll eat your portion for you!"
He didn't forget to make a licking sound.
For the first time, Clyde had an urge to drag the brat over for a spanking.
He narrowed his eyes coldly and suddenly stood up.
As he strode out, Derick followed and asked in a low voice, "Sir, dinner is ready, where are you going?"
"Going for dinner."
Dumbfounded, Derick stood there and muttered, "But the dining room is not in that direction."
…
The two kids were little but had great appetites.
The two large crabs steamed by Kira were finished up.
Betty liked to eat fish. Fearing that the fish bones might stick in her throat, Kira picked them out for her carefully.
While they were enjoying their dinner, there came a knock on the door.
With Betty in her arms, Kira got up and opened the door.
Now grease was all over Betty's face. She grinned and called out in a crispy voice, "Daddy!"
Kira hadn't expected his visit at such a moment.
Presumably, he was here to see his children, and she had no reason to shut him out. With a smile, she spoke to the man, "We are having dinner. Why don't you come in and join us?"
"Okay." Clyde followed her in.
Kira put Betty down and went into the kitchen to get a set of tableware.
Clyde took a look at her, sat down at the table, and then glanced at Henry.
Henry sneakily moved to Betty's side, feigned ignorance, filially picked up a large crab, and handed it to him.
