Chapter 13 Who Doesn't Want to Make Money?
On average, Kira treated a customer every two minutes.
In fact, she could tell one's condition in a second.
But people nowadays tended to be oversensitive, and she didn't have other business to do. Therefore, she would diagnose each patient thoroughly twice and treat their illness from the root.
Even if it was a chronic disease, the treatment would not surpass three courses.
As a result, she was quite famous around the place.
More and more patients turned to her out of admiration.
At the thought of her grandfather who died a mysterious death and her plan, she became more patient to diagnose them one by one.
Because of Clyde's presence at the front desk, all the female patients today consulted about skincare.
Kira knew that they wanted to stay in the clinic and see Clyde.
Happy with it, she tailored an advanced skincare therapy for them and made a fortune.
Henry diligently served her tea as well as massaged her shoulders and legs.
Betty followed his lead and helped run errands. She did a good job in fetching medicine and tools.
Noticing her interest, Kira kept Betty by her side when she treated the customers so that she could watch and learn.
The little girl was so smart that she remembered nearly a hundred kinds of herbs in half a day.
Kira was delighted.
When she was little, she followed her grandpa to learn medicine and remember all types of herbs at the age of five. This girl was only three and so talented.
Soon it was getting dark.
But there were still several middle-aged women unwilling to leave.
Since Kira needed rest, she had to tactfully let them go.
Henry and Betty were asleep on the sofa half an hour ago.
Kira dismissed Darren, did a simple cleanup of the room, and came to the counter.
In the chair, Clyde was flipping through some old documents.
He looked serious and attractive.
Kira took several glances at him and then called out, "Clyde, call it a day."
Clyde put the documents back on the desk and then looked over.
Overwhelmed by his sudden gaze, Kira blushed a little and asked, "Why are you looking at me like that? Anything you wanna say?"
"Do you want to make money badly?"
"Of course, who doesn't?" Kira lowered her head and squeezed her fingers.
Just then, hurried footsteps came from outside.
Kira turned around and saw a gray-haired old couple rushing in.
"Dr. Perry, thank god, you're still here!" The old lady grabbed Kira's hand, excitedly produced a full envelope of cash, and stuffed it into her pocket.
Kira swiftly dodged away.
She pulled a long face, "Mrs. Watson, what are you doing?"
"Dr. Perry, my son survived thanks to you! You earn it, come on, take it!" She insisted on giving the money to Kira.
Her husband came up to help.
Without a choice, Kira jumped back behind the counter.
Clyde stood up immediately and looked at them sullenly.
The old couple had never faced such a terrifying gaze and hurriedly halted their moves.
Unaware of Clyde's facial expression, Kira heaved a sigh and told them, "Your son still needs to recuperate for some time. Take the money back for his recovery. I don't need it."
Her face was cold and her tone icy.
