Chapter 12 Storefront
There were also many customers coming for treatment today. Darren was serving them.
As soon as Kira showed up with the kids and Clyde, everyone's attention was attracted.
Except for the old men who liked children, all the women, from elementary school students to gray-haired old ladies landed their glittering gazes on Clyde.
Even Darren was amazed. He sneaked over and asked, "Master, who is he?"
"He's our father and the husband of my mommy." The milky voice belonged to none other than Betty who was staying in Kira's arms.
Kira's eyebrows furrowed.
Before she could explain, Clyde walked over and greeted Darren, "Nice to meet you, I'm Clyde."
Darren grinned hurriedly, "Nice to meet you, just call me Darren."
Darren took a teasing glance at Kira and then turned away for his business before Kira could explain anything.
It didn't matter. There would be opportunities for her to explain. Kira didn't take it to heart and told Betty and Henry to play with Darren. Then she led Clyde to the back of the counter opposite the door.
This was a place for customer registration. He needed to answer the calls, collect money, and receive customers.
To be precise, it was the front desk and storefront.
Kira pulled out the chair for him.
Clyde then sat down.
As he went without formalities, Kira took out a contract without further ado.
"Take a look, sign it if it's okay with you." Kira folded her arms before her chest, leaned against the table, and continued, "I'll have your food and lodging covered, help you take care of the kids, and give you three thousand yuan each month. Fair enough?"
Kira put on a generous look.
Clyde skimmed through the simple two-page contract, and the corner of his lips twitched slightly.
Three thousand yuan wasn't even enough for one of his socks.
An employee's salary was the epitome of the boss's income. Looked like her income was not high.
Clyde's brows furrowed. He took a pen and signed his name on the lower right corner.
Kira took a glance at his handwriting. The stroke was both solid and elegant.
Emotionally moved, she pulled open the drawer, taking out a piece of advertising paper and a blank blackboard, "Clyde, this is our promotion for today. Write it out later."
"Okay." He agreed readily and asked again, "Anything else?"
"Not for now, just help me receive the guests properly, and…" Kira suddenly lowered her head and whispered in his ear, "I've developed a set of beauty and preservation therapy. It is our recent special offer. When female customers come in, remember to advertise it."
She spoke quickly in a low voice, and her breaths brushed past his ear from time to time.
It tickled a little.
Clyde turned to her.
Kira hadn't raised her head. As a result, they faced each other at close range.
Her face burned, and she immediately straightened up.
Her eyes flickered, and she sulked, "I haven't finished my speech yet. Who told you to turn your head?"
While she was in a huff, her cheeks looked rosy and cute.
Clyde slightly curled up his lips, "I've kept it in mind, anything else?"
The man's smile was so attractive and devilish.
Kira's eyes glittered, "No… nothing else."
Following her words, she fled.
