Chapter 6 Coming Here At Least Once A Day
Nancy shook her head like a rattle, "No, no, my bestie. I'm here to make up her lessons and make 100 yuan a day."
She tried her best to make everything clear as if she was afraid that Ned would misunderstand anything.
He nodded slightly and checked his wristwatch without another word.
The elevator slowly ascended.
Only then did she remember that she hadn't pressed the button. She reached out her hand, only to find the button light of the 20th floor was on.
Nancy drew back her hand, "Are you also going to the 20th floor?"
Ned replied, "Mm, you too?"
Nancy nodded her head, and then the place fell into silence.
She didn't know why but her mind would wander and get nervous when she stayed with Ned.
Without the guts to look around or even squint, she stared at herself in the elevator mirror. Her body under her neck was all stiff.
Ned took several glances at her, remembered something, and curled up his lips distinctly.
Nancy, dressed in a youthful, regular outfit, looked like a different person from the day when he saw her in the bar.
She had her hair combed into a girlish bun, wearing a white T-shirt, light blue jeans, and a pair of white canvas shoes.
It was a sharp contrast to his business suit.
She looked like a junior.
When the elevator door opened, Nancy looked back, smiled at Ned, and got out of the elevator.
Following her, Ned stared at her legs wrapped in tight jeans.
He couldn't help recalling the night when he first saw her. Under her skirt, her slender, straight legs attracted the attention of many men.
Every man liked such pretty legs. When she put her legs together, there was almost no slit between them.
When she stopped at the door mentioned by Whitney, Ned was standing at the corridor window, smoking while answering a call. Amid the light smoke, his silhouette looked vague.
Nancy could faintly hear his voice, "I see, I'll keep an eye on her and will come here at least once a day."
Nancy rang the doorbell, and the housekeeper came to get the door. Nancy mistook her for Whitney's mother and greeted her, "Nice to meet you, madam, I'm Nancy, Whitney's best friend."
Whitney rushed out, "Nancy, you're here, this is Wendy, our housekeeper. If you want to have anything for dinner, just tell her. My parents will be back in the evening of the 7th day and pay your salary. The following day, my father will drive us to school. It's all settled. Change your shoes and come in. I'll show you around my room."
She was embarrassed. The nanny in Whitney's house looked so elegant that she made a stupid mistake.
Nancy changed her shoes, looked back, saw the nanny closing the door, and followed Whitney to move forward.
Deep down, she wondered if Ned lived on this floor.
She looked around Whitney's house and found it very spacious but slightly inferior to the villa that Ned took her to the other day.
A random house of his could be so luxurious, so would he live here? Or, he was here to look for a friend or a woman.
How rich was he?
As she thought about it, she grew perplexed and shook her head in the end. His business had nothing to do with her.
"Look, this is my bedroom, we can sleep together at night."
As soon as Whitney pushed open the door of her room, the doorbell rang again.
At such an hour, it should be...
Whitney instantly widened her eyes, "Bummer, my little uncle is here!"
