Chapter 7 Nice to Meet You, Little... Little Uncle

At that, Whitney hurriedly grabbed Nancy's hand and ran to her study.

She pulled out the chair, gathered the snacks from the desk, and put them into the bookcase, leaving only two cans of plums.

Then she swiftly opened her book and a few examination papers.

"Ah, I don't understand the solution to this quiz. Nancy, teach me again."

Just then, Ned pushed open the door and got in.

Nancy glanced at the quiz, got a solution, picked up a pen, and demonstrated it on a piece of scratch paper.

"Start it with an auxiliary line, like this..."

Nancy picked up a ruler and explained the quiz so attentively that she failed to notice a person standing behind her.

Whitney, however, was distracted by the man behind them. Sweat began to appear on her forehead.

Whitney was not a top student nor a bad one. She didn't know why but feared her uncle so much.

She could still remember when she went to kindergarten, she was scolded by her little uncle because she didn't know what one plus one equaled to. After so many years, she had long forgotten the content of his scolding.

But she couldn't forget his sullen face and contemptuous gaze as if she was a retard.

Nancy put down the black pen and asked, "Got it? This is how to solve it."

Whitney was stunned...

She understood nothing because she hadn't listened to her...

But in front of her little uncle, she swallowed and claimed, "Yeh, so easy. Nancy, your teaching really enlightens me."

Before Nancy had a chance to give a satisfied smile, a cold snort came from behind. The sound was so familiar.

Before she could react, a fair hand appeared on the scratch paper. The fingers were clenched, and the scratch paper on which Nancy just did a calculation was crumpled into a ball.

Whitney's heart sank.

As expected, Ned threw the ball of paper into the trash can and tapped the table, "You comprehended it? Now do the calculation for me."

Ned stood upright by the desk and looked Whitney in the eye.

Whitney was left speechless...

She cursed him inwardly.

This was it. Ned came to examine her homework again. She was about to lose her pocket money.

Nancy stared at the hand on the desk and took a glance at the man's side face. The situation was so embarrassing that she knew not whether she should greet him or just sit there.

Why was he Whitney's little uncle? This was embarrassing.

Whitney bowed her head, picked up the pen from the desk, grabbed it forcefully, tapped on the scratch paper, drew many dark circles, and then slowly wrote the solution mark.

Ned fixed his eyes on Whitney the entire time.

Whitney got an idea and put down the pen, "I haven't done an introduction. Ned, this is Nancy, my best friend."

Following her words, Whitney nudged Nancy, "Nancy, this is Ned, my little uncle."

Nancy's drooping eyelids rose slightly, and she was going to say hello.

But the man beat her to speak in a deep voice from above her head "Nice to meet you, Nancy."

Dazed, Nancy stared at his face for a long time.

Appalled by his straightforward and domineering gaze, she pursed her lips and stammered, "Nice to meet you, little... little uncle."
