Chapter 16 I'm His Woman
Whitney tilted her head and grinned, "As long as you don't steal my boyfriend away, you'll always be my friend."
Nancy smiled along as if relieved from a heavy burden.
...
On the weekend.
Whitney found a part-time job for Nancy. She would work as a cleaner in a bar after it closed at three o'clock.
The working environment was safe, and she only needed to go there once a week at night. The daily salary of 200 yuan would be paid on the spot.
During the day on weekends, Nancy would help distribute flyers of real estate for eight hours and get 100 yuan.
In total, she would earn 300 yuan for her food expenses for a week and even save a little. In this case, she could pay the 5,000-yuan tuition fees for one semester in the No. 3 High School and lift the financial burden of her family.
Nancy thought to herself. If she could get the highest grades for liberal arts in the college entrance examination, she might be subsidized by the government. If she failed, she would not apply to S University. There would be colleges willing to enroll her free of the tuition fee.
She couldn't let her old grandma worry about her.
"Booth 388, cleaning."
Since the other cleaners were working in other rooms, Nancy pushed a cleaning cart to get in.
When the cart reached the bathroom, someone suddenly came out. It was too late for her to stop the cart which ran toward the person.
The cleaning bottles in the cart collided with each other and rattled. Under the impact, the person fell to the floor.
The cleaning cart was light, so the crash was not serious. The 1.9-meter-tall man fell just because he was a bit tipsy.
Zack got to his feet, covered his nose bleeding from hitting the floor, and sobered up a lot.
He cursed, "Are you blind?"
Nancy found his voice familiar. The man made it hard for her twice, and she would not forget it.
She quickly disheveled her hair to cover her face.
As a smart girl, she knew that if he recognized her, he would not let her go. If he couldn't recognize her, he might not wrestle with a cleaning lady.
Zack raised his eyes, glancing at the 'cleaning lady' who kept her head low and cursing for his bad luck.
He covered his nose as he walked out.
Nancy hurriedly pushed the car into the booth, started cleaning, and put the wine bottles in the cleaning cart.
Zack suddenly showed up at the door and pointed at Nancy, "You, come over to Booth 999 and clean up the vomit."
Nancy had to follow the man.
When she got into the booth, there was incessant laughter from men and women. Zack pointed to a corner, "There, clean it up quickly, it's gross."
Nancy, wearing yellow gloves, took a rag and a bag, ready for the cleaning.
Just then, Zack suddenly grabbed her by the shoulder, took off her mask, and then laughed.
"No wonder your hair is so smooth and your ears exposed are so tender. You turn out to be a pretty girl. Hey, girl, why do you do such kind of work at a young age? Tell me of your trouble."
Zack was a little drunk and had some aphrodisiac, otherwise, he wouldn't look for girls in a bar. Tonight, he was in a mood.
Because of the dim light, he didn't recognize Nancy.
But Nancy was so terrified that she turned to leave.
But Zack grabbed her wrist, swung her aside, and drew close to her.
Nancy screamed, poking at his face with the rag and bag in her hands. However, the more she resisted, the more aggressive Zack became.
Her hands were gripped by his hand, and her half-sleeved yellow uniform was lifted, revealing her slender waist and black lace underwear.
As a streak of light was cast over, her fair and dazzling skin was like an aphrodisiac for him.
Not a public performer, Zack tugged her hand to take her away.
Appalled, she blurted out, "Don't you remember me? I'm Ned's woman!"
