Chapter 6 Take the Road to Ruin Everything

The young woman in the mirror was pretty. Though she had given birth to a child, the loose men's pajamas could not conceal her curvaceous figure.

It seemed that everything about her stayed the same as the previous life.

However, the look in her gorgeous eyes was tinged with an extra touch of stubbornness and clarity.

Liz touched her delicate cheeks and gently closed her eyes to clear her mind.

She met Greg, Chris, and Kylie Cotton at high school.

The campus was where it all began.

The Behrendt Family was in control of eighty percent of the nation's health care system.

As the saying went on the internet, the Behrendt Group represented the medical science in C Country.

Because of Liz's relationship with Greg, the man managed to get her allowed to enter the prestigious A University for a nursing program despite her awful performance at the college entrance examination.

Liz was initially reluctant to enter the same university as Greg. However, Chris was there as well, so she decided to accept the offer.

Her internship was arranged at the Behrendt Group's best hospital. Unlike other interns who had to try various departments during their internship, Liz was privileged to stay in the most relaxing sector throughout all her training. If there were no accident, she would become a formal employee after the novitiate.

However, she got pregnant by accident during this period.

She was a young, unmarried woman who had not even formally graduated from college. Presumably, she undoubtedly became the target of gossip thanks to her pregnancy.

Liz had to quit her internship at the hospital. As her father, Hubert Tuccillo, was the office manager at the blood center, she joined the organization after the baby was born.

As Chris excelled in his studies, he smoothly joined the health department as a junior leader after graduation.

Six months later, he got suddenly transferred to the blood center as a manager.

Before Liz could digest the joy, Hubert was reported for taking bribes and was imprisoned.

Greg was the only person Liz could turn to for saving her father. And Greg's requirement was that Liz had to marry her.

This was why the reluctant wedding came into being.

Supposedly, after Liz got married, Hubert would be saved from prison.

However, Liz eventually chose the road to ruin everything and ran out on the wedding with Chris.

What was worse, she stabbed Greg in the stomach to cause him to fall into a coma.

With Greg in a coma, it was already Liz's blessing that the Behrendt Family did not put her to death. They, of course, would not save Hubert.

In this way, Liz missed the opportunity to save her father.

Later on...

Her so-called best friend, Kylie, got word that Hubert committed suicide in prison and accidentally revealed that it might be the Behrendt Family's revenge.

Liz, being clueless, blamed Greg for all of this and hated him even further.

Liz opened her eyes and raised her brows, feeling like a survivor after a disaster.

Fortunately, she was still pretty.

In her previous life, she even ruined her face.

For some ridiculous reason, Liz hated Greg so much that she even abused herself.

"What do you like about me, Greg? Tell me, and I'll get rid of that. You like my face?"

In retaliation, she viciously disfigured her own face and even blinded one eye, turning herself into an ugly, disabled monster.

Greg was so angry that he vomited blood.

Of course, before Liz died, Kylie told her all the truth.

Liz stopped recalling and intended to get changed.

She had to visit her father at the prison to remind him never to trust Kylie or Chris.

The moment Liz pulled open the wardrobe, she got sore eyes.

Two days ago, she and Greg went to try on her wedding dress and toast outfit.

And she casually made a positive remark about a label in front of Greg.

Liz's wardrobe was currently filled with clothes of that label that were suitable for different seasons.
