Chapter 7 His Favorite Car

Each set of the outfits were carefully matched with appropriate jewelry placed on one side.

Greg was genuinely kind to Liz.

She decided on one outfit with warmth in her heart.

Although it was summer, the thought of visiting prison made Liz feel chilly in her back.

In her previous life, Hubert never made it out of there, and Liz passed out crying in front of the prison, which was useless.

The woman decided on a long-sleeved coat and full-length pants. Then, she opened a drawer.

Greg had put all his vehicle keys in there, dozens of them, and they were nothing but a speck of dirt in his eyes.

Liz searched for a while, then selected that of a Smart.

It was the first car Greg gifted her, which was parked out of the vehicle administration office that day Liz got her driver's license.

Her attitude was quite scornful back then.

"Just a Smart?"

Greg replied with his usually frosty expression, "You should practice your driving skills with this before getting a better one."

Liz was not convinced. Though she was not good at studying, she was quite adept at everything else.

Driving was one of the things she was skilled at.

What was so tricky in driving a household car?

She even drove a race car later.

Though Greg owned quite a few vehicles, the Smart was his favorite.

Liz never understood the reason until the day she died. Before her death, Kylie told Liz the truth with a resentful in her eyes.

"You stupid woman, what makes you be able to earn his heart? Greg is an all-powerful man who can afford any car. However, he treasures that Smart like the most precious asset and once said that, when he was drunk, he liked the vehicle best because it could only seat two people. He enjoyed being together with you in that compact compartment.

Liz, what makes him choose you?"

Liz's heart grew heavy at the thought of the previous life.

What made Greg choose her?

In her previous life, she indeed was not good enough to deserve Greg's love. This time, however, she would try her best to live up to it.

Liz thus decided to use the Smart.

With the car key in hand, she intended to go downstairs.

Amor Toweles was standing by the stairs on the first floor with an embarrassed expression on his face.

"Miss Tuccillo, you'd better get back to your room for a rest or something."

As Greg's one-of-a-kind senior assistant, Amor's excellence was unquestionable.

He was an expert at almost everything in terms of both work and daily life.

However, as versatile as he was, Amor was instructed by Greg to guard Liz.

Before Greg left, he told Amor that the latter's only mission this day was to keep an eye on Liz.

Liz frowned, wondering if she was under house arrest.

Although Liz deserved to be treated this way based on her past behavior, she could not accept this arrangement on this day.

She got something urgent to deal with.

"Amor, please don't stop me. I'm in a real hurry."

Amor managed to tamp down his urge to roll his eyes.

He thought the so-called urgent business in Liz's mouth was to look for Chris.

Amor had always been confused about why Mr. Behrendt, a brilliant and dazzling young man, was deeply into Liz for so many years. Clearly, Liz got no other merit but her outstanding appearance.

"Miss Tuccillo, Mr. Behrendt has ordered that you are not allowed to go anywhere today," he said.

Amor's tone was relatively polite.

No matter how much he disdained Liz, the woman was Greg's wife. It was unwise to do anything to offend his hostess.

Liz was not in the mood to argue with Amor.

She bypassed him and walked straight to the entrance.

"Miss Tuccillo!"

Amor blocked her way.

Liz took out her cell phone to check the time, frowning impatiently.

Prison visiting hours were limited, and appointments had to be made in advance. If Liz missed this appointment, she would have to wait for a long time, and by then, her father would be in great danger.

If Liz failed to save her father's life, her rebirth would be pointless.

"Get out of the way."

Liz's expression became gloomy.

The woman's originally gorgeous face gave off a frosty vibe. Somehow, Amor became shocked and took a step to one side involuntarily.
