Chapter 4 Not a Dream

As soon as the car was parked steadily, two tall young men in black suits and white gloves came up to open the car doors. They greeted, "Sir, madam."

"No, I'm not." Shocked by the appellation, Summer waved her hand repeatedly.

"Shut up! You are now the young lady of the Tran family." Howard grabbed her hand, interlocked their fingers, and whispered.

As soon as they entered the house, she was stunned by the luxurious decoration.

Behind the entrance garden was a large carpet about 20 square meters in size. By the side were a Chinese sofa and tea table. She had no idea what they were made from but knew that they were expensive. The dining table, marble, and the staircase were well-coordinated in color, which reflected a sophisticated, low-key luxury. The various lights were dazzling in the living room. There was even an elevator at the corner of the ground floor.

Summer looked around and got dazzled by the lights. This felt like a dream. She pinched her thigh forcefully.

Ow… ouch… this was real.

A middle-aged woman greeted them with a smile, "Sir, madam, welcome back." While speaking, she took the bags from the hands of Howard and Summer.

"Felicity." Howard responded in a bland tone.

"The old lady is waiting for madam and you in the parlor." Felicity smiled.

Summer raised her head and looked at Howard nervously. She remembered he called the old lady 'that woman' back on the rooftop. Looked like relationships were complicated in wealthy families. She had no idea what was awaiting her.

Howard didn't let go of her hand the entire time and spoke softly, "Relax, act according to the situation, don't talk randomly." Summer nodded anxiously.

"Mom, I've brought Summer back to see you." Meeting with the old lady, Howard forced a smile.

Amanda got her eyes on Summer. In the meanwhile, Howard secretly squeezed her hand and waited for her drama.

"M… madam, I'm Summer." Summer said nervously with a quiver in her voice.

Despite her sulk, Amanda nodded out of courtesy and then looked at the servant, "Alright, Felicity, show Miss Pratt around the house. Howard, you stay and talk with me."

Summer smiled with great relief, "Mm, Felicity, I have to trouble you." Following her words, she hurriedly let go of Howard's hand and tried to leave. Howard pulled her into his arms, dropped a kiss on her forehead, and spoke in an extremely gentle voice, "I'll have a chat with my mother and find you later."

Summer was struck dumb by his sudden kiss and soft tone. Wasn't his drama too much? She cursed him inwardly but nodded her head, hummed, and left with feigned obedience.

"Did you deliberately arrange the wedding at Grand Courtyard International today, avoid the media, and only invite closest members and friends of the Tran and Flynn families?" Amanda pulled a long face.

Howard arched his eyebrow and smiled as acquiescence.

"Are you against the connection with the Flynn family through marriage from the very beginning?" Amanda shivered in anger.

"Didn't you intentionally mislead everyone and make a match from the beginning?" Howard smiled nonchalantly.

"If I were your biological mother, would you embarrass me like this? Are you still hating me?" Amanda shed incessant tears.

"You think too much. I should find John in the study on the first floor to talk about business." Howard stopped his indifference, turned serious, but remained cold.

Following his words, he turned away.
