Chapter 3 Are You Having Fun?

Effie's words immediately threw the spot in an uproar.

"Oh my gosh. Is this woman crazy? How dare she suggest that Mr. Bennett the Death is a dog?"

"That's barely a suggestion. She has made it like a piece of truth."

"This woman is so screwed. By offending Mr. Bennett the Death, she is throwing herself to eternal misery."

"Do you think she can live without misery if she had not offended Mr. Bennett? The Bennett Group is a leading enterprise in Beacon City or even the entire country. Edwin is such a powerful role. How could he marry this woman?"

"Indeed. Otherwise, he wouldn't have humiliated the woman with a dog."

"..."

At the same time, in a VIP suite of a hotel...

Edwin looked at the woman on the screen with a goblet in his hand, saying in an icy voice, "Excellent!"

"How dare that bitch call you a dog? I...Hey Edwin, where are you going?" While Celia Harris, the bridesmaid, spoke up for Edwin, the man abruptly stood up and walked outwards.

Effie walked off the stage at the wedding venue and headed for the lounge after finishing her task.

Suddenly, the woman's shoulders suffered an impact, and her body was pressed against the wall. The moment Effie sensed the air of danger, she heard a cold voice coming above her head, "Are you having fun?"

Effie got a fright but soon calmed down.

"Sir, who are you?" She looked at the man indifferently. Although she had never seen Edwin's face, she knew who he was by only listening to his voice.

Effie traded for Edwin's help at the cost of her very first marriage. Thus, the woman did not think she owed him anything in this equal, contractual relationship.

Besides, he even tried to humiliate her with a dog. In this case, why should she be respectful to him?

"Who am I?" Edwin squinted his eyes slightly and glanced at the woman with mockery. "Don't you even know your husband?"

"My husband? Hehe..." Effie could not help laughing. "Sir, are you mistaken? I've just married a doggie. You are not telling me that you are that dog, are you?"

Edwin's face instantly became livid with anger. "Effie Fletcher!"

The moment Effie looked into the man's gloomy, ferocious eyes, her heart tightened up. Intuitively, she moved closer to the wall, waiting for an opportunity to escape. At this moment, Edwin abruptly grabbed the woman by the arm and dragged her towards the room on one side of them.

"You let me go!" Effie struggled hard.

"I will let you go once you learn the consequences of offending a dog!" After that, Edwin kicked the door to the room next to him and growled at the waiter inside, "Get out!"

The waiter shivered with fright, then turned to run away.

Celia and the waiter almost bumped into each other. With no time to blame the latter's imprudence, Celia rushed to the doorway, asking, "Edwin, what are you doing?" After casting a jealous glance at Effie, Celia fixed her eyes upon the man's back, tall and full of rage. "Calm down! Such a woman isn't worthy of..."

Before Celia could finish her words, the door was slammed.

As the door hit against her nose tip, Celia instantly felt a sharp pain. However, sparing no attention to the ache, the woman hurried to pat the door for fear that something unwanted would happen in the room, shouting, "Edwin, open the door! Edwin..."

In the room, Edwin pushed Effie onto the bed.

"Edwin Bennett, what are you doing?" Effie's face was full of fear, but she managed to keep a powerful momentum. "Get off me!"

"What do you think I'm doing on our wedding night?" Edwin reached out to close the curtains, which immediately led the room into darkness.

"Don't you dare!" Effie stared at the man threateningly.
