Chapter 4 You Stay Tonight
"You'll see whether I dare or not!" With that, Edwin grabbed the ribbon of the wedding dress on Effie to take it off. In an instant, the woman felt cold in the front of her body, and her heart whooshed up to her throat.
"You are crazy!" Effie roared.
"I thought I were a dog?" Edwin curled up his lips secretly. The furious yet helpless look in the woman's eyes somehow improved his mood.
"Bastard!" Effie yelled, "You are worse than animals."
"Hehe...Very good!"
Then, Edwin bowed his head to kiss the woman. Upon seeing what was going on, Effie hurried to tilt her head to one side. However, the man stretched out his hand to hold her chin. As Effie could not move, Edwin kissed her menacingly.
The moment their mouths touched, Effie first paused for one second, then bit the man's lips hard.
Along with the severe pain, Edwin tasted the smell of blood. Intuitively, he released his grip on the woman, who took the chance to rush towards the door.
As Effie fled, the lights in the room were turned on. Celia looked at the man in shock. "Edwin, you are...bleeding!"
Edwin touched his lip corner, and there were indeed bright red blood drops on his finger. He looked thoughtfully in the direction of the doorway, frowned tightly, then turned to leave.
"Edwin!"
"Inform the office in America that I will fly over early tomorrow morning." Edwin glanced at Gale, who was standing outside the door, with a horribly gloomy expression.
After casting a glance at Celia, Gale quickly followed Edwin up, saying, "But this is the very first night after you got married..."
"If you think it's a pity, why don't you finish the consummation on behalf of me?" Edwin looked at Gale with slightly cold eyes.
Gale shuddered all over, answering, "I'll arrange your travel right now." With that, he instantly ran away.
Meanwhile, Gale thought inwardly, "Finish the consummation on behalf of my boss? Come on! I don't want to die!"
In the evening, Effie hid in the room and did not dare to come out. If Edwin had not paid off the massive debt for her and Herman and sent the latter to the country's best drug rehabilitation center, she would have run far away from the mental torture.
However, she felt a call of nature and decided that she had to stop hiding like this. After confirming that there was no one in the living room, Effie cautiously went to the bathroom.
When she walked back, she heard footsteps behind.
The footsteps belonged to Edwin and Celia. Upon seeing them, Effie hurried to hide behind the wall of the living room.
"Edwin, is your mouth all right? Are you sure you don't want to see a doctor?"
"No need!"
"Then what do you plan to do tonight? Are you really going to..."
The man's footsteps stopped abruptly, and Celia paused, asking, "What's wrong?"
"You stay here tonight." Edwin glanced at the corner of the wall, then turned to Celia. His previously cold eyes became much gentler. "The bridal chamber is carefully-decorated. Let's not waste it."
Celia froze for an instant, then beamed with joy. "That'll be great! Edwin, do you know how long I've been waiting for this? I..."
Before Celia could finish her words, Edwin picked her up and walked towards the bridal chamber.
Witnessing the intimately interacting man and woman, who did not even close the door after entering the room, Effie cursed Edwin inwardly. What a scumbag he was!
The man was actually going to sleep with another woman on his wedding night under his lawfully-wed wife's gaze. He was simply the worst bridegroom in the world!
While Effie was condemning Edwin in her heart, Celia's tender voice came out of the room.
"Darling, it hurts."
"Slow down. You are such a bad guy, but I like it."
Effie felt sick inside and thought that she could not bear it any longer. Noticing the starry sky outside, she decided to catch some fresh air.
Unexpectedly, when she turned around, her arm accidentally touched the vase on the table, which fell to the ground and broke into pieces in an instant.
Effie got a fright. She looked up in the direction of the bridal chamber and happened to see Edwin's gloomy face.
"Oops, sorry. You two...go ahead!" Effie pursed her mouth guiltily, then ran outwards as her life depended on it.
