Chapter 12 Settling the Score

The Third People's Hospital in Imperial City...

In the VIP ward, the old man was still in a coma.

Harvey pushed the door open, got in, and stood aside respectfully.

In the ward, Kevin and Wilson Jensen were guarding the old man. When Chris got in with a poker face in a business suit, they stiffened.

Kevin frowned and questioned.

"Chris, when did you come back?"

Since their father had been rescued from a sudden illness, they didn't tell Chris about it.

On the one hand, they were not close to their much younger brother; on the other hand, the Brown family on their mother's side used to scheme against Chris in his childhood. Ever since the plot was exposed, they had been hostile to each other.

Ignoring him, Chris looked at the old man lying on the sickbed. His face was full of wrinkles.

"You really don't know when I came back?"

Chris snapped his gaze back, dropped his eyes, and looked at the floor with a poker face.

"Although I'm not often at home or the old house, it's not difficult for you to know about my itinerary. Do you really think that..." Chris slowly turned sideways and fixed his eagle's eyes on Kevin, "I know nothing about the Brown family's tricks?"

Kevin's heart convulsed while Wilson also felt upset.

"Harvey!" Chris sat down on a sofa across from them.

"Yes, sir!"

Harvey took a step forward and opened a folder in his hand.

"At the beginning of last month, at Golden Street of Southeast Asia Bay, Brown family members were near Mr. Jensen's car!"

"On the fifth day of this month, in Shield International Hotel at Wealth Road, the nephew of the second son of the Brown family stayed next door to Mr. Jensen's presidential suite!"

"On the ninth day of this month, the guitarist performing at Wall Street is an employee of Broad Company, a long-term business partner of the Brown family!"

...

As Harvey elaborated according to the timeline, the faces of Kevin and Wilson turned increasingly paler.

By the time when Harvey closed the folder and stood back to Chris's side respectfully, the backs of the two brothers started to sweat.

Much older than Chris, they somehow felt unprecedented pressure from the half-brother.

Although Chris was sitting there while they were standing, they were still awed by his air to the point that they could hardly breathe.

"Chris, we really don't know about these things."

Chris chuckled spuriously and blandly.

"Harvey."

"Sir."

As Kevin and Wilson kept changing their countenance, Chris slowly gave his instructions.

"To my stalkers from last month on, make their companies bankrupt and them broke. As for those with no companies nor money, make them go into debts of millions! As for those in debt, send them to jail!"

"Yes, sir!"

"As for the Brown Family, it's time for Jane Brown to retire!"

"Yes, sir!"

Chris ignored his brothers' faces that turned pale and livid alternately. His eyes were icy.

"As for the person who drugged me, he should have been on the plane to South America! He'll spend the rest of his life in the largest red-light district there!"

"Chris, you..." Utterly discomfited, Wilson glared at Chris.

Chris slowly stood up and cut him short.

He raised his cold eyes, looking fixedly at Wilson who panted and blushed. The corner of his lips curved up.

"You should rejoice that the old man is still alive!"

Then Chris turned away, and Harvey followed him out.

When the door to the ward closed, Wilson's knees felt so weak that he had to support himself with the wall.

Unable to bear it, he lowered his voice, "Kevin, has he learned anything?"

"Know what?" Kevin, also suffering from the aftershock shot a discontented look at his brother, "We didn't do anything. What have those got to do with us?"

"Yes, we don't know anything!" Wilson hurriedly nodded.

Chris had no evidence and thus could do nothing to them.

Moreover, the old man was still alive. Even if Chris found out anything, they were not afraid.

As for their mother, Kevin narrowed his eyes.

"I'm calling mom and telling her to keep an eye on Chris's recent activities, just in case."

They were in Prime Country. However powerful Chris was, he needed to abide by the law.

Only he forgot that there were only two words in Chris's dictionary: willing and unwilling!
