Chapter 9 Serving Tea
Although Alyssa's voice was low, Leon heard her clearly.
Aunt Flo?
He was confused.
He had no idea who Aunt Flo was.
"Who is Aunt Flo?"
Alyssa's face turned red upon hearing the question.
As Alyssa remained silent, Leon took out his mobile phone and asked Baidu for help.
Upon seeing the explanation of this entry, the man turned around and walked out with his car keys in hand.
He returned ten minutes later.
After putting a black bag in front of the room, he knocked on the door.
Hearing the knock, Alyssa glanced at the door nervously, saying in an awkward tone, "I'll be out in a minute."
Unexpectedly, she then got no response from Leon.
Did Leon get angry as she refused to get out of the bathroom?
Alyssa asked in a tense voice, "Leon?"
Still, no one answered her.
She could not care so much and pushed the door open, only to find a black bag lying on the floor with no one standing.
She picked the bag up and opened it to see various types of tampons inside.
After making sure that no one was looking at her, she cautiously stepped back to the bathroom with those tampons.
Ten minutes later...
Alyssa walked out of the bathroom, at ease, and saw Leon, then said with a smile, "Leon, thank you."
"Huh?" Leon looked at Alyssa, asking, "Thank me for what?"
"Thanks for helping me and marrying me."
"Are you inducing me to let down my guard so that you could run away?"
Alyssa rolled her eyes at Leon, then took his hand and lifted her head to kiss him on the lips like a chick pecking rice.
The sudden kissing made Leon feel like getting an electric shock.
"Let's go. Time to get rest." Alyssa walked forward, suddenly realized something, turned around to look at Leon, saying in a slightly embarrassed tone, "Or shall I sleep in the guest room tonight?"
Staring at Alyssa's reddened face, Leon somehow nodded.
At Leon's nod, Alyssa immediately ran into the guest room and locked the door.
Thinking of the rebirth, her family, and Leon, Alyssa gradually fell asleep with a light smile on her mouth.
Early the next morning...
Alyssa went to see Grandpa Hunter out of courtesy.
The moment she entered the door of the Hunter Family's residence, she felt an atmosphere of tension.
Alyssa saw Mrs. Hunter sitting in the living room and watching TV.
"Good morning, Mrs. Hunter." Alyssa looked at the woman with a gentle smile.
For Mrs. Hunter, however, that smile was simply piercing, and she instantly recalled how embarrassed she was at the wedding the day before.
Mrs. Hunter was so furious that she picked up a glass of water and threw it at Alyssa's face.
Alyssa expected so and swiftly turned around to hide behind Leon.
Clatter!
That glass of water landed upon Leon's face.
Leon lifted his frosty face and fixed his eyes upon Mrs. Hunter.
Mrs. Hunter froze and hurried to take some tissues, intending to wipe the water-beads off the man's face. "Leon, I'm so sorry."
Leon pushed her away, took a tissue himself, and handed it to Alyssa. "Help me."
Alyssa took the tissue over to wipe Leon's face. Staring at his clear-cut face and big, shining eyes, straight nose, and thin lips, she was utterly blown away.
Why the hell did she choose Ryan rather than Leon, such a handsome man, in her previous life?
There must be something wrong with her brain that she actually threw herself at Ryan that douche bag!
Leon looked into Alyssa's eyes and saw himself in the woman's loving gaze.
Mrs. Hunter's expression became extremely gloomy upon witnessing the intimate interaction between the couple. "I know that you two didn't even sleep with each other last night. Alyssa, the Graham Family is currently in a financial crisis. I know you want to ask Leon to help your family with those debts, and once the problem is fixed, you'll kick Leon away and throw yourself into someone else's arms."
While speaking, Mrs. Hunter took out documents about the Graham Family's debts and a photo of Leon reading files in the study last night, intending to evidence the two points she had made.
