Chapter 14 The First Test Day
Over the following half a month, Alyssa strictly followed the tight plans she made for herself.
The vacation was supposed to end in ten days. However, she decided to continue reviewing at home.
Anyway, Leon was too busy to bother her.
On the contrary, she would definitely be disturbed if she returned to school.
She put forth her best effort to study.
As there was no maid hired at the villa, she had to solve all the problems by herself.
Fortunately, those tough times she had after leaving the Graham Family for Ryan honed her cooking skills in the previous life.
Leon did not come back often, and Alyssa was not in mind to care about him either. She just wanted to get her grades up in half a month.
She asked Ella for help whenever she was in difficulties and stayed up to two or three in the early morning before sleeping every night.
When there were only three days left before the exams, she began to unwind herself.
When the spy Mrs. Hunter sent to watch Alyssa told her that the girl did not return to school but wandered around at shopping malls right before the exams, the older woman laughed smugly.
She deliberately chose occasions when everyone was around to tell Alyssa's situation to Grandpa Hunter.
Each time, Grandpa Hunter would leave with an agitated expression while Mrs. Hunter smiled complacently.
Emily and George thought that Alyssa probably had given up the exams. Otherwise, why she did not even show up for classes?
In fact, Leon was also observing Alyssa in the shadow. He lived in the house across the street from their villa and could see Alyssa's bedroom clearly from the large deck.
Every night, he overworked till 2 or 3 am before sleeping, and Alyssa's routine was almost the same as his.
He knew very well that Alyssa was working on her studies.
It surprised him that the woman actually took what she impulsively claimed seriously and worked extremely hard over the half month.
Soon, the last three days passed.
Alyssa was about to have the first exam after her rebirth.
This round of exams would last for three days and cover five courses, which would be the main grades.
The examination rules were very strict, and students were informed that cheating in any form would result in a demerit and failure to graduate.
The exam papers were divided into two groups, A and B, with different content for each row.
Alyssa handed in her answer sheets early for both of the two exams on the first morning.
On the contrary, Alyssa was the last to hand in her paper for the afternoon exam.
Out of the classroom, Alyssa heard other students talking about those exam questions and did not stop for even one second as she had to go back to prepare for tomorrow's exams.
"You know what? I was seated right next to Alyssa and noticed that she filled in all those questions. That's unusual."
"What's so unusual about that? Didn't she fill in all the questions in the past exams?"
"That's true. Anyway, her grades were just passable every time."
"She is absolutely an academic loser. If it weren't for her family wealth, she would have been kicked out of our uni."
"Exactly."
Alyssa said nothing to refute those people's murmuring and headed forward without sparing an extra glance at them.
When Alyssa's figure disappeared, Emily walked out from the corner. Earlier in the classroom, she was seated just one row away from Alyssa, and both of their papers were A-type. But Alyssa did not notice Emily at all.
As Emily sat behind Alyssa, she saw clearly that the latter indeed filled in all those questions but believed that most of those answers were incorrect.
This time, those questions were quite difficult. Even Emily failed to figure out some of them, let alone Alyssa, that useless academic loser.
Thinking about how Alyssa would make fun of herself in the Hunter Family, Emily laughed in relief and turned to walk away.
Alyssa returned to the villa. The exam on the following day would be about Business English. She decided to take the night reviewing as she believed that temporary memory might play a vital role in an exam.
She immediately opened the book and Ella's notes and began to memorize those bullet points in earnest.
