Chapter 12 Thoughtful

"Yeah, any man will do. Mr. Brown, you... are not special." The corner of her mouth curved up in a cold smile, but despair was hidden in her eyes. "So, shall we continue?" She looked at him provocatively.

"Sophia!" He roared like a wild beast who completely lost his head.

The gentle kisses and caress were reduced to bloodthirsty bites. Her fair skin was soon covered densely with bite marks and bruises.

She gritted her teeth to endure it, and her tears wouldn't fall.

Jim lost control, dying to destroy her! Destroy her!

From the kiss, he tasted blood and bitterness. Like being poured by a bucket of water, he suddenly paused, and his fiery eyes became clear. The woman kept her eyes closed while tears trickled down her cheeks constantly. His heart... became empty in an instant.

"Get out!" He snarled and shoved her off the bed.

She looked like a frightened fawn, and his heart softened.

Sophia, did you know that you were my poison? I couldn't find the cure across my life.

While sobbing, she took a glance at the panting man, staggered to her feet, hurriedly picked up her clothes, and rushed out.

The South Garden villa was large, but there was no place for her.

She got out of the room and stood outside with blank eyes.

"Miss Miller, your room is ready, this way please." A warm voice came over.

Sophia raised her head and saw a man about 1.75 meters tall. His face was clean and warm. At a glance, she knew this man should be very gentle.

"You are..."

"My name is David Cook, the butler of South Garden. Miss Miller, just call me David."

As she heard his voice as warm as the spring breeze, her stiff body gradually relaxed.

"David, thank you." With her head low, Sophia folded her arms before her chest, trying her best to cover up her discomfiture. She was afraid of the contempt and disdain in others' eyes.

But David's eyes were clean and frank as if she was no different from others.

"I'm flattered, this is my duty. Miss Miller, follow me please."

Sophia followed him to the prepared room.

The layout was artistic and luxurious. The background color was soothing sky blue. She liked this room at first sight.

"Miss Miller, I don't know about your preferences and thus had it moderately decorated. Tell me if you find anything dissatisfying, I'll have it refurbished."

"No, no, it's great, I like it." Sophia replied hurriedly.

"Good, the cloakroom is on the left. Next to it is the dressing room and bathroom. All the necessities have been prepared. Tell us if you need anything else, we'll get them for you as soon as we can. Well, if there's nothing I can help with, please excuse me. Miss Miller, you can have a rest. I'll let you know when lunch is ready."

"Okay, thank you, David."

After David left, Sophia took a deep breath and started to look around the room.

It was spacious with several compartments.

She walked to the left. As mentioned by David, it was the cloakroom. She opened the door and found a row of clothes and shoes for all seasons and occasions. All the clothes, including the underwear, fit her size perfectly.

Those trademarks were something she had never seen before, but each one of the clothes looked simple and neat. It was her favorite style.

She then went to the dressing room. The cosmetics and skincare products in there were all from top brands. In a closet, they were neatly arranged.

To be honest, no woman couldn't resist such things. Clothes, handbags, and cosmetics were her life.

But...

Didn't Jim buy her off to humiliate her? Why did he prepare so many things for her? And every item was top-class. What was he thinking?

He intended to treat her well, win her heart, push her into the abyss, and enjoy the pleasure of insulting her?

Jim, you were really thoughtful. Sophia gave a wry smile, closed the door to the dressing room, and walked back.
