Chapter 13 Keeping a Beauty at Home

Picked up by Jim's man at a bus station, she didn't have the luggage with her. Therefore, she had to select a set of clothes out from the cloakroom and then went into the bathroom.

In the mirror, she looked terrible as every inch of her skin was stained. When she sprinkled warm water on her body, she felt a sharp pain, but it was not as painful as her heartache.

Mixed with the warm water, salty tears streamed down her face.

At last, it came to this point. She sold herself off for money, and the buyer was Jim.

Her beloved man now hurt her the most. How ironic! But what else could she do? She caused all this and deserved it.

There was a knock on the door, followed by David's voice, "Miss Miller, lunchtime."

Sophia snuffled, trying to find her normal voice back, "Okay, I'll be there right away."

She lost her appetite and even felt sick of herself. However, she couldn't refuse to go downstairs for lunch.

She was at South Garden and Jim's turf. In here, she could only obey in every way.

She quickly wiped up her body, put on a simple T-shirt and jeans, and then went downstairs.

She reached the restaurant, only to find it was not a simple lunch.

Jim had been sitting at the dining table for some time. Against his body snuggled a pretty woman with attractive makeup and a sexy figure. In a low-cut dress, she blatantly rubbed against his arm. There was a faint smile at the corners of his mouth. Looked like he quite enjoyed it.

Sophia recognized the woman. Skylar Doyle, a popular movie star.

Her head drummed, and she froze there as if being struck by lightning.

Given Jim's current status, it was not strange to find women around him. To be more precious, it was normal. However... when she saw it with her own eyes, she felt a heart-rending pain.

The pain rendered her breathless.

As Sophia showed up, the woman in Jim's arms also froze. She measured Sophia with her eyes lined in punk style and didn't disguise the hostility on her face.

"Mr. Brown, who is this woman? You called me over to keep you company while keeping a beauty at home. This is driving me mad."

Sophia couldn't help frowning at her affected sweet voice.

"Just an insignificant woman." Jim tittered and took a glance at Sophia's pale face. The pleasure of revenge was written on his face.

The more she suffered, the happier he felt!

After getting such an answer, Skylar snorted triumphantly, "Since she is insignificant, tell her to get lost. South Garden is not open to everyone. Mr. Brown, I don't like other women to live here."

Skylar was good at playing the woman. Her voice was sweet while her body was soft. Any man couldn't resist the approach of such a woman.

With a triumphant smile, she looked at Sophia provocatively.

Unexpectedly, as soon as her voice died away, the ambient temperature dropped to the freezing point. Next to her, the man looked fixedly at her third eye area with his eyes as dark as the muzzle. It felt like as long as he blinked, her life would be taken.

A cold sweat broke out on her back in an instant as she realized her improper remark.

She had always been longing to approach Jim and utilized all her connections in vain. Somehow, his assistant found her today and invited her to South Garden. Overjoyed and swellheaded, she thought that her efforts finally paid off until Sophia showed up.

She was smart enough to realize that Jim's sudden acceptance of her should be related to this woman.

The man of her dreams used her to stimulate another woman. Who could accept it? Then jealousy drove her to make such a foolish remark.

Jim hated others to make decisions for him, and she knew it.

She wanted to explain, but the man's icy, murderous gaze was like a pair of big hands that strangled her. As a result, words wouldn't come out.
