Chapter 7 One Million Yuan

Leon was a playboy who changed his girlfriends as frequently as changing clothes. However, countless women were desperate to approach him. Emma wondered if Leon saw her at Jingle Restaurant earlier this night and became attracted to her beauty.

Emma was aware of her beauty. However, she also knew that she was not charming enough to enchant an experienced playboy at first sight.

Witnessing the cunning, intelligent gleams under the eyes of the pondering woman, Leon felt more and more appreciative of Emma. "I'm not kidnaping you. We can talk here if you please. You guys get out and leave some privacy to Miss Brooks and me."

Emma paused for one second. Did Leon already know her identity?

After those bodyguards went out, Leon went on bluntly, "I have checked you out. You are the unwelcome young lady of the Brooks Family. Your father was biased, your stepmother treated you poorly, and your sister even stole your boyfriend. Three years ago, you and your friend set up a marriage test studio called Only Love. Although your income is quite decent, you have spent it all on your uncle's disease."

Emma froze for one second, then furrowed her brows, saying, "That's impressive. The Hayes Family is indeed the top in City Y. You have checked me out in such a short time."

"With your photo, all I needed to do to check you out was to make a phone call."

"Photo?"

Emma suddenly remembered that Leon had taken a picture of Wilson and her at Jingle Restaurant. She then said coldly, "Delete the picture right now!"

"Delete it?" Leon laughed as if it was a joke. "Countless women in City Y want to appear in the same image with my brother, and you want me to delete it?"

At Leon's words, Emma flashed a confident smile, asking, "You didn't come to tell me that you've checked me out thoroughly, did you?"

After changing the conversation topic, Leon revealed a grave look in his eyes. "I'm here for business."

"Business?"

Leon sat down on the only single sofa in the bedroom and crossed his legs, continuing, "You are the chief marriage tester of Only Love and have never failed in all your professional history. Thus, I want you to work for me."

"You're getting married?"

Emma thought to herself, "No way! Didn't the media say that both the two young masters of the Hayes Family are single? Otherwise, how come there are so many ladies trying to marry into the family?"

"Not for me." Leon scratched his head, explaining, "It's for my brother."

"I'm out of this."

Emma refused without even thinking about it.

"You're out of this?"

"Yes, you hear me."

Wilson, in Emma's eyes, was a synonym for danger. She was traumatized after only one encounter with the man and dared not contact him again.

"Not even if I'm willing to pay one million yuan?"

Emma's eyes froze for a second.

Leon curved the corners of his mouth and said smugly, "As far as I know, your uncle is about to have an operation, which will cost seven hundred thousand yuan. And the later treatment will take you another three hundred thousand yuan. In a word, you are in badly need of money. If you work for me and I'm satisfied with your performance, I'll give you another half a million yuan. How about that?"

One million yuan as the initial payment, and another half-million yuan as a bonus... As Leon came to Emma directly while she was on vacation, the deal had nothing to do with Only Love. In other words, all the money would be Emma's.

With the million yuan, Emma would be able to keep her uncle alive.

It would be a lie to say that she was not intrigued, but Emma could not say yes.

Contacting Wilson could kill her, and she did not want to die!

"I'm sorry, but our studio only works for those in a marriage or are about to marry. I wonder what your brother's situation is? I heard he is single."

"You don't think my brother has a woman, do you?"
