Chapter 23 Do I Look Like a Wild Man?
"James, how could you hit Sister Emma? Although she said those vicious and unpleasant words, she is my sister and your ex. You really shouldn't have done this to her. Oh right, Emma, I'm pregnant with James's baby, and we'll soon get engaged and marry on my next birthday. So, bless us!"
Emma was so angry that she hit Mary without much thinking.
She would teach James a lesson by hitting his fiancee.
However, a broad, warm, and firm hand abruptly grabbed Emma's slender wrist. Instantly, her strength disappeared without a trace.
Emma lifted her head to see the man's delicate features, handsome contour, and deep, dark eyes. Naturally, her heart skipped a beat.
Wilson?
"Don't get your hands dirty." Wilson opened his thin lips and uttered these words coldly.
Emma froze for a good while before stammering, "President Hayes, why are you here?"
Wilson did not answer Emma's question but fixed his sharp eyes on James's pale face. "Which hand did you use to slap her?"
Mary had no idea of Emma's relationship with Wilson, but James did.
The moment he saw Wilson appear, alarm bells went off in James' heart. "President Hayes, I was teaching her a lesson. She insulted me and my..."
Crack.
Although Emma widened her eyes open, she failed to see Wilson's swift movements clearly. After James's duck-like raspy scream, his right hand dropped feebly and wobbled in the air.
In the blink of an eye, Wilson broke James' right hand.
Mary did not know that the stranger in front of her was Wilson, the big shot who could easily tremble the entire City Y by snapping his fingers. Just as she wondered how Emma had been so lucky to get to know such a prince charming, the man broke her fiancé's hand.
With a freezing look in her eyes, Mary roared in anger, "Who the hell are you? How dare you hurt James? Are you looking for death?"
Emma secretly sympathized with Mary.
Wilson shotted a frosty glance at Mary, which made her take a step back.
"Don't think I'm scared of you. I'm calling the police. James, are you alright? Let's call the police, shall we? We must teach this bastard a lesson. Emma, where did you get to know such a wild man? He actually hurt James. I will tell Dad and ask him to beat you hard!"
Mary still thought that Emma was as innocent as she was when they were kids. Back then, whenever Mary said something ill of Emma in front of Benson, he would beat Emma up indiscriminately.
Emma curled up her lips slightly and glanced at James, who was unable to speak in pain, then asked, "Your fiancée is so stupid. Didn't you realize this before?"
At Emma's words, Mary was about to hit her. Just then, James yanked her with his intact left hand and said in a shaking voice through his gritted teeth, "Let's go!"
"Go? Why? This wild man..."
James's back went cold instantly, and he shouted in anger, "Shut up!"
He endured the pain of his broken hand and forcibly dragged his confused girlfriend into the BMW.
James knew that he had gravely offended Wilson, and M Company was probably not far from bankruptcy.
Seeing that the wonderful show had come to an end, Emma even forgot that her cheek was red and swollen. With her eyes slightly squinted, she said with a smile, "Thank you very much, President Hayes."
Although she was disgraced, at least someone showed up to help.
Emma was genuinely satisfied with her temporary husband's performance.
"Do I look like a wild man to you?"
