Chapter 10 Beautiful Handwriting

At the traffic police station...

Carson sat in front of the traffic police, wanting to say something, but secretly turned his head to glance at Sophia. The woman on the bench looked exhausted.

He thought inwardly, "That lady grabbed my steering wheel. Could it be the cause of the entire accident?"

But then he thought, "What if the accident has nothing to do with this girl but is a result of the sudden loss of control of that truck?"

In that sense, the woman was his lifesaver.

Sophia seemed to notice Carson's eyes and tilted her head to glance at him.

Carson blinked, and the hesitant look in his eyes suddenly became resolute. Then, he looked at the traffic police with a determined expression, saying, "I shall take full responsibility for my behavior of running the red light. To compensate, or to go to jail, I will take it."

Carson did not mention the matter of Sophia grabbing his steering wheel and put all the blame on himself.

At Carson's words, the traffic police looked at him with a confused smile, "This accident has nothing to do with you. You don't have to assume any responsibility. The cause of the accident has been clearly found out. That truck was overloaded, and its front wheel was aged. While running downhill, its tire burst all of a sudden."

While speaking, the policeman opened the footage and showed Carson on his computer. He even praised Carson by saying, "You reacted swiftly and decisively to escape the danger. Otherwise, all in your vehicle would have been crushed to death."

Carson looked dumbfounded. After a good while, he gradually tilted his head to look at the exhausted Sophia.

Evan, standing beside Ryan, followed Carson's line of sight to observe Sophia.

A wondering expression crossed his eyes. Was the woman who made a prompt decision?

The lady was becoming more and more mysterious in Evan's eyes. How could such a marvelous woman be living in Golden City?

He could not help but turn his head to look at his boss, who had not taken his eyes off the woman since they entered the traffic police station.

This was something that had never happened before.

Because the accident had nothing to do with Sophia and the others, they were naturally allowed to leave after making statements and going through the paperwork.

Before leaving, Ryan inadvertently glanced at Sophia's signature.

Her handwriting was wild and unrestrained, and her name written down on the paper somehow appeared proud and heroic.

Ryan raised his brows slightly, turned his head to look at Sophia's back ahead, then curled up his lips faintly.

The woman was like a treasure, repeatedly surprising him. Ryan was completely intrigued.

This group of people stepped out of the traffic police station, and it was already sunset.

Carson followed behind Sophia, staring at her back. He suddenly recalled that the woman mentioned earlier that his forehead was darkened and there was bloodshed waiting for him.

Back then, Carson felt annoyed and reprimanded her unhappily.

Later, the woman's prediction came true, and she saved Carson from dying. The reality was like a slap in Carson's face and made his cheek burn with shame.

He took two quick steps to follow Sophia and thanked her by saying, "Miss Anderson, thank you for what happened today. Without your help, I would have died. I'm so grateful for your great kindness that I'm willing to do anything as long as it's not a crime."

While expressing his gratitude, Carson patted his chest with an excited, sincere expression on his face.

He stared at Sophia with expectant eyes and really hoped she would ask him to do something.

Most importantly, he wanted to take this opportunity to get to know someone of Sophia's calibre.

"I was also in the vehicle. Saving you was no different from saving me in that case. You do not need to thank me."

Most of the evil spirits inside Carson's body had dissipated, and the remaining was negligible weak.

Still, Sophia gave the man a reminder by saying, "Although you have survived this accident, you shall carry out more good deeds in the future to get good luck. Otherwise, evil spirits will haunt you again."
