Chapter 9 Old Fella, You're So Innocent!

Victor raised his eyes indifferently and pushed a box of tissue over, "Wipe it."

Out of the corner of her eye, Judith saw his calm face and then quickly pulled a piece out.

She wiped it clean, double-checked with her cell phone for quite a while, and then turned back.

"Thanks."

Victor nodded his head as a response.

After a moment of silence, she inched her way to the desk and reached out her hand awkwardly.

"Old fella, could you give back the object you picked up yesterday?"

Victor stiffened for a while before remembering her ruby earring.

"I left it at home."

"Thank you." Judith was relieved to know it was not lost.

She bowed deeply and sincerely.

"Could I go home with you and get it?" She asked in a while.

Victor pointed to a pile of files, and Judith rubbed her ear fretfully, "I'll wait till you finish your work."

Judith spoke tactfully and asked suddenly, "Old fella, you saved me yesterday?"

Victor nodded, and she asked again, "Can I treat you to dinner?"

...

Theo hastened upstairs and saw Judith standing right next to his boss. They were just inches away.

He held his breath out of fear, hurriedly knocked on the door, and got in, "Sir, sorry for my dereliction of duty."

He then warned Judith coldly, "Lady, please leave."

"I'm here for my belongings. I won't leave until I get it back. I'll wait for Mr. Reid to get off work."

She blinked innocently, "Besides, Mr. Reid didn't drive me away."

"Mr. Reid would not wrestle with a girl!"

Theo didn't like the rash girl and continued in a more serious tone.

"For Dr. McDaniel's sake, Mr. Reid forgives you for bullying Miss Pate, so you shouldn't overstretch yourself and bother him! Not everyone is worthy to stand beside the man! Now, please leave!"

Judith was thick-skinned but not stupid.

She certainly got the message.

Only she liked to work against others.

He forbade her to get close to Victor, and she would go against his request!

She reached out her fingertips and pinched Victor's chin.

The man knocked off her hand indifferently, but she did it again.

"Let go."

Judith curled up her lips, revealing her dimples, and slowly moved close to his lips, "Old fella, actually, I do have some ill thoughts about you. Can I put it into practice?"

Victor raised his eyes, "No..."

Judith smirked and kissed him forcefully. His following speech was muffled.

A soft and sweet taste instantly spread and assailed his every nerve.

The man with keen senses stiffened and lost his head.

"How dare you!"

Theo snarled, and Victor finally reacted. He abruptly pushed her away, got up, and took back several steps confusedly.

He mechanically raised his hand to press his lips. There was an uncontrollable quiver in his voice.

"Behave yourself!"

"So angry, first kiss?"

Judith saw his emotions for the first time, looked at his red eyes, and burst into laughter.

Victor paled, neither admitting nor denying it.

Judith suddenly trotted up, and he took several more steps back seemingly out of fear.

She laughed so much that tears came out of her eyes, "Old fella, you are so innocent. Don't worry, I'll take responsibility for you!"

Before she could continue, her cell phone suddenly rang.

She checked the caller ID and stepped away to answer Edgar's call.

Victor watched quietly as she nodded tactfully and repeatedly. His brows gradually furrowed.

His hand dropped slowly from his lips and his gaze at her shoulder turned dangerous.

After hanging up the phone, Judith strode up and grabbed his hand.

Victor stiffened again, and she laughed, "You're so cute!"

She stuffed the ruby she bought yesterday into his hand and clasped it, "You've received my kiss and token of love. From now on, you're my man. Don't think about denying it!"

Then she took a defiant glance at Theo and rushed out while humming a song.

Before getting on the elevator, she suddenly turned back and blew Victor an ostentatious kiss, "Old fella, I need to go for some business and will pick you up from work later tonight!"
