Chapter 10 She's Too Young for Me

Theo trembled with anger and spoke fiercely, "Sir, Judith dares to offend you. Please allow me to teach her a lesson!"

The sweet taste still lingered on his lips and kept distracting Victor.

He walked to the side, poured two cups of cold water, gulped them down, and involuntarily squeezed his popping third eye area.

"No need to wrestle with a girl."

"But she just..."

Theo really hated Judith. How could Victor be tainted by a girl!

However, when he looked at the gemstone in Victor's hand, his pupils contracted abruptly, "Heart of Eternity? The old lady's legacy..."

Theo said in disbelief and suddenly stopped halfway through his speech. His mouth twitched, and he dared not look at his boss.

Heart of Eternity was a gift from his mother on his tenth birthday.

She wanted to inlay the wedding rings with the gem for Victor and his wife, which would bless their eternal love.

On the same day, the tough woman burned herself for her husband's betrayal and died before his eyes.

Later, the Heart of Eternity was lost accidentally, and Victor had been looking for over a decade.

Unexpectedly, Judith brought it back to him today!

It was July 23rd.

Victor's birthday.

The death date of his mother.

Victor tiredly squeezed his third eye area and said in a hoarse voice, "Get the car."

At three o'clock in the afternoon, he reached a natural lake in the southern part of the city.

He put down the perfume lilies, casually lit a cigarette, and held it between his fingers.

"On the ninth day next month, the Pate family and the Reid family will connect through marriage. By then, I'll fulfill the last request from Brian. When I get your ashes back, you'll be set free from the Reid family."

After a while, he flicked the cigarette ash and whispered, "Mother, I've found the Heart of Eternity. It's a token of affection from a girl."

He pursed his lips and knitted his brows, "Only she's too young for me."

When the cigarette burned up, Victor went down the mountain.

"Old fella!"

...

Upon hearing the voice, he pursed his lips, raised his eyes, and saw Judith on a motorcycle.

The girl whistled frivolously and beckoned to him, "Your car has a flat tire. I can give you a ride!"

Theo's face flushed with anger, and he accused her indignantly, "This is sabotage."

To his greatest surprise, Judith punctured the tire with a knife right in front of him!

Victor took a glance at the car and instructed, "Get another car."

That equaled to his rejection of Judith.

"Old fella, actually I..." Judith said again.

Theo immediately glared at her and cut in, "Sir, she deliberately smashed my phone, and I couldn't get the car ready in advance. If it were not for her, you wouldn't have to waste your time here!"

Victor frowned, took out his cell phone, and handed it to his secretary who immediately made a call.

During the entire process, he didn't even take a glance at her.

Judith kicked the stones on the ground in annoyance and peeked at him several times, but he made no response.

She put on her helmet, got on her motorcycle, and drove off.

Slightly stunned, he looked back, watched the girl disappear at the end of the mountain road, and asked, "You offended her?"

Though they just met, Judith didn't look like an unreasonable person.

Her gaze at him was aggrieved yet stubborn. Presumably, she was wronged.

"I... didn't." Theo answered in a stiff voice.

Victor shot a cold look at him, and the secretary felt a shiver down his spine.

"She deliberately tried to approach you again and again. Apparently, it's a conspiracy. I couldn't sit by and tried to drive her away. She was so shameless, and I called her uncultured out of anger."

Theo sulked, "It's nothing serious. She just intended to make a fuss and cause trouble. She is uncultured and a rascal!"

She wouldn't have been so angry if he didn't call her uncultured.

"Let the matter drop." Victor said indifferently.

So, he spared Judith again!

They only met a few times, and Victor kept excusing her. Theo was annoyed.

"She is at best a stranger, why do you keep excusing her? She wounded Miss Pate severely, and the lady is still unconscious! If the old man knew..."

As the air about Victor suddenly changed, Theo dared not mention Brian again but still could not accept it.

"Sir, my loyalty lies with you. I didn't do it for the old man but feared Judith's scheme! You saw how unscrupulous she is and should not turn a blind eye just because of her young age!"

"You think I'd be afraid of a girl?"

Victor took an indifferent glance at Theo. The secretary stiffened and hurriedly explained, "How would I doubt your ability! My only concern is her shameless nature..."

"What benefit did the Pate family give you? Why are you so tough on her?" Victor asked unhurriedly.

His pupils contracted abruptly, and Theo explained with trepidation, "I don't have any connections with the Pate family!"

"Mm." Victor hummed coldly after quite a while.

Theo clenched his fists, "Sir, I'll never betray you!"
