Chapter 15 Really Him?
Meiss had been watching the fun because he didn't believe they were a couple from the beginning. However, the situation became awkward, and he couldn't afford to offend the man. Therefore, he went over with a smile and tried to ease things up.
"Mr. Stanley, I'm really sorry about this. I saw you bored and thus asked Penny to invite you. I didn't know you're a couple, sorry for the disturbance."
Turned out her name was Penny. As her patron came up, she wanted to speak again, but Meiss pulled her away with a serious face.
Unhappy with the sarcasm, Camila pouted slightly.
"Well... they are gone. Can you let go now?"
With disgust, Harden let go and glanced at her. Neither of them would like to talk again.
In a huff, she folded her arms before her chest, thinking, 'Why did I agree to hang out with them? I must be out of my mind.' Maybe... her brains were damaged when she fell into the water today.
Ten minutes passed, and both of them remained silent. Every second was tormenting, and she just hoped the cruise ship could pull into the shore soon.
"Yo, guess who is here? Harden, what brought you here?"
A man suddenly came over! He looked like an enemy, and his voice broke the silence. Meanwhile... something occurred to Camila!
'Harden? How could it be?'
Out of the corner of his eye, Harden glanced at her, saw the surprise on her face, and knew that the cat had been out! But now, his priority was to deal with this foe.
Full of murderous intent, he sneered.
"Humph, I don't think it concerns you, and you're not worthy to ask. After all, our status is a world of difference, so don't be an eyesore here. Go back and serve as my brother's running dog!"
His remark was so biting that the man gnashed his teeth and widened his eyes. However, there was nothing he could do. In the end, he took flight while no one was paying attention.
Then he should deal with the other issue which was also the aim of his trip here.
Camila's eyes slid out of focus. Though not sure if Harden was the same man from that night, she couldn't calm down. Her eyes were filled with trepidation as she feared he was that man.
"Harden? Have we met before?" She frowned slightly and asked cautiously.
She expected the man to give a negative answer, but Harden had anticipated his exposure. Since she would know sooner or later, he preferred to admit it.
"Mm, we have." He nodded calmly.
She still wouldn't believe it. Maybe she was deceiving herself.
"Where? When?" She pressed.
"Six months ago, Bazaar Hotel."
He didn't find it embarrassing to mention. In his view, those women who got on his bed should rejoice.
'It's really you! Harden... Stanley!'
His remark was a bolt from the blue because she hadn't expected to see him again. In fact, she wished they would not meet again. What happened that night was a permanent shame, and now the man stood right before her face. She slightly opened her mouth, but words wouldn't come out. She wanted to flee, but her legs wouldn't move!
"Why, it was me. You disappointed?"
In such an awkward situation, Harden still made such a cruel remark so indifferently.
