Chapter 4 The Alarm Went off

In the van...

With a hint of curiosity as well as hostility in their eyes, the six little boys were staring at Rachel, who was occupying their mother.

"Mommy, why did you let her get into our car?" Mike asked out of curiosity.

Gabrielle looked at Rachel, who was nestled in her arms, and explained to her sons, "Rachel got separated from her family, so she will stay with us until her family takes her home. You can't bully her, okay?"

"Okay." The little boys answered simultaneously.

The oldest one, Yankee, who was always cool and taciturn, was focused on his phone without giving Rachel a single look, seeming indifferent to the latter's presence.

Tony Zane, the second one, was possessive and straightforward. He gazed at Rachel with a defensive face for fear that she would take away his mother.

Mike, the third one, was mischievous and energetic. Once he sat down, he could not help twisting his butt as if a needle had struck him, but it did not stop him from looking at Rachel curiously.

Harvey, the fourth one, unlike his brothers, seemed not to be interested in the little sister that appeared out of nowhere. He was immersed in praising his look in the mirror, "Oh, why I look so cool!"

At his words, Louis, the fifth one, who was arrogant, talkative, and sweet, praised, "Harvey, we all think that you are the coolest in the family! Jacky, do you agree?"

Jacky, who obviously heard Louis, kept his head down in silence with a look of self-absorption and indifference.

"Jacky, you are ignoring me again." Louis complained and smiled at Rachel, "But Rachel looks better! Mommy, don't you think so?"

"Yes, yes, yes." With a deep understanding of her boys' personalities, Gabrielle agreed with Louis while reassuring Tony, who was being jealous, "Rachel is a guest, so we should treat her well, right?"

"Yes!" The six boys answered at the same time as if they would agree with whatever their mother said.

Regardless of their different personalities, Gabrielle showed equal love to all of them.

Gabrielle smiled and comforted Rachel, who was frozen, "Rachel, don't be scared. They are nice, actually."

Rachel stretched out her little hand and pointed at the little boys, "Mommy, why do they look the same..."

Gabrielle laughed, "They're sextuplets, so they naturally look the same. I just introduced them to you..."

"I know!" Rachel looked at the little boys respectively and said in a cute tone, "Yankee, the oldest brother. Tony, the second one. Mike, the third one. Harvey, the fourth one. Louis, the fifth one. Jacky, the sixth one."

At her words, Rachel looked at Gabrielle with her chin up as if she was asking for praise.

Gabrielle complimented with a smile, "Rachel is so smart!"

"It's obviously the biggest brother, not the oldest." Louis corrected.

Rachel docilely changed her words, "my biggest brother!"

When the little boys heard her soft voice and saw her sweet smile, they spontaneously dropped their defense and laughed with her.

Soon, Gabrielle returned home with the seven children.

The house was prepared in advance by her best friend.

With three rooms and two bathrooms, it was big enough for them to live in for a period of time.

The boys played with Rachel in the living room while Gabrielle made dishes. In the past few years, to take good care of her boys, she, who never cooked, had become a senior nutritionist.

"Sweeties, it's time to eat!" Gabrielle cooked seafood noodles. She gave each boy a bowl of noodles before asking Rachel, "Can you eat by yourself? If not, I can help you."

Rachel shook her head hurriedly when she saw others were eating by themselves, "No. I can do it."

She didn't want to be underestimated by the boys.

Gabrielle smiled and stroked her head.

At that moment, the doorbell rang.

Gabrielle got up and walked towards the door while turning back to Rachel and said, "Your father might be here to take you home."

Hearing her words, Rachel stopped to look at the door with a face of excitement.

'Was Dad here to take mother and brothers home together?'

The little boys also fixed their eyes at the door.

What did Rachel's dad look like? Did he look as handsome as their uncle?

Gabrielle opened the door and smiled politely, "Hello. Are you here to pick up Rachel..."

Before she could finish her words, she saw the man standing outside the door.

Her face was frozen in an instant.

Ben...

It was actually Ben.

How did he know that she lived here? Did he recognize her? Did he have someone figure out her address?

The alarm in Gabrielle's mind went off.
