Chapter 14 Crown Prince's Little Emotions
After a glance, Mary moved back her gaze and continued to associate with those around her. The arrival of the man seemed to be just a little interlude.
When people moved their eyes to Mary, the most faithful admirer of the Crown Prince, they noticed the obsessed girl acted like she had given up all her affection overnight.
The rich kid talking with Mary instantly got excited. Somehow the girl of his dream didn't have a secret crush on Barry now. Didn't that mean he had a chance?
Some other admirers also became enthusiastic as if they saw hope.
The others were left speechless.
Behind knitted brows, Barry glanced coldly at the brilliant woman in the center and slightly narrowed his slanted eyes.
Soon he looked away as if Mary was just a stranger.
"Junior Master Lambert, I'm honored to see you here."
"Junior Master Lambert, I am..."
"Junior Master Lambert..."
Barry soon came to the spotlight. Holding glasses of wine, those men and women walked over.
However, those people around him were soon gone. Tony and the bodyguards kept them three steps away from Barry.
People couldn't help sighing: Junior Master Lambert was as reserved as rumored.
As the dance music started, the lights above the dance floor turned soft. It was time to dance.
"Mary, may I ask you for a dance?"
As soon as she sat down for a drink, a familiar voice came over.
She raised her head and met with Quentin's warm eyes.
In a sense, Quentin watched her growing up. Stella and she were homies since childhood. They would sleep over in each other's houses.
When she was in Sherwood's house, Quentin would take care of her.
At a glance of those upcoming admirers, Mary reached out her hand with a smile, "My pleasure, Brother Quentin."
She would rather dance with Quentin than deal with those admirers.
Quentin gently led her to the dance floor while the others had to watch.
Quentin's admirers watched the scene angrily and soon joined Mandy.
The enemy of my enemy was my friend. This saying applied to everyone.
To be worthy of Barry, Mary trained herself in all aspects. She was well versed in dancing, painting, and musical instruments.
And she had a curvy figure. Her dance with Quentin certainly became a highlight of the banquet. She was the dancing queen.
Sitting in a corner, Barry fixed his sullen eyes on the two brilliant persons in the center of the dance floor. His brows knitted, and the fierce air about him deterred everyone.
"Brother Barry, take a look at the special birthday present I prepared for you."
"Brother Barry, it's my fault. Don't ignore me."
"Brother Barry, I like you..."
The scenes of past events kept flashing across Barry's mind. A petite girl used to chase after him and call him Brother Barry. The experience was quite similar when he stayed in the orphanage many years ago...
"Boss, do you need me to invite Miss Yeates here?"
Tony ventured to draw close, and Barry was snapped out of his thoughts.
Barry glanced at him lazily with icy eyes, "Too leisure?"
Tony touched his nose and drew back his crestfallen head, "Not really."
Only he somehow felt ever since Miss Yeates stopped pestering his boss, the man acted like a different person. In the past, he used to despise Miss Yeates. Now... was he dissatisfied?
