Caspian

The breeze was cool as it splashed across Caspians face, just like the waves below, crashing against the rocks. Its been almost five years now. But it felt forever since Lea was gone. Caspian would often send hours inside the vault which has now been locked away. He would stare blank at the glass window reminiscing, in hope that Lea might commute, may be just a little sign, a flicker. Not nothing happened in all these years. He would often visit Leas world. Walk down the hills they walked together. He would sit at the waterfall hours, drowing in his own sorrow.

The world of sierra however recovered phenomenally. The walls of the Capitol were pulled off. The revolts and other people living in the out skirts have all come inside the fold of the new world. There have emerged pockets in and around the Capitol where the surface water has regained it's fertility. Floral and edible vegetation are also being cultivated in some adjacent patches, specially modified with the now fertile water. Realm travel has been severely restricted and mining rendered illegal. They have now been able to wander on the surface has reactivity and toxicity levels have recorded sharp fall over the years. Several expeditions have been undertaken as more and more habitable land been found. The conflicts between the people seem to have normalised because of these new found treasures. The mutated plant and animal lives and significantly dwindled. Caspian had been elected as the imperial scout and most of these spoils were to his credit. Today was one of his field days, however he was busy staring down the shore.

"Caspian.the group is ready to roll"called out a lady, fully dressed on black, Pixie.

" Ah! Yeah! Let's go. "

They headed back towards their pods. Now that the surface was suitable for cultivation and human activities, the scouts were assigned the task of mapping the uncharted lands.

In one such expeditions, right after Leas disappearance, they were able to find Eleana. Her body was in a very bad shape. They had immediately rushed her back to the healers. They worked for about three whole days, just trying to revive her. Her organs, tissues and bones could be reconstructed, however, her brain had undergone intense trauma. She still was in coma. She times she would move a finger or toe, but that was all.

Romey was traced back too, but he was beyond help. He was humanely put down and the city of Sierra officially mourned for a day in his memory. Caspian was the acting mediator between the elders and the rebels. After much dialogue, discussion and brainstorming, they agreed to come to a democratic system of governance. All acting authorities needed to gain public trust and vote. However few elders were allowed to retain some of their powers in light of their previous positive contributions towards Sierra.

"All set to go Caspian" yelled a blue eyed, cherry lad.

"Launch" echoed, as they blast off towards the South.

"Do we have any leads on this place?" Asked Pixie

"Where we are heading, is covered in mystey, that is, fog" Retorted the Hybrid named Loro.

"Just some footage from the spywares. But it's very very unclear" Added Jackson, the blue eyed, cherry lad.

"This has been one of the hinderlands the Capitol could never chart. Though the toxicity has dropped over these years, the fog is still very thick. We must bear in mind that we have no visuals of the area. Once inside we need to totally depend on our telepathic chips, sonar and thermals. We are going in blind there . Are we clear? " Briefed in Caspian as everyone echoed "Yes sir".
