Chapter 9 My Wallet... Is Lost

"Let's go to the ward to see you, sister."

Ian looked at William's back, pursed his lips, and said, "Mr., you don't really need to stay here. I can take care of my sister. It doesn't matter."

"Really?" William stopped and turned to look at him.

The little boy stood upright, and his eyes were firm and persistent.

He saw the vigilance in the boy’s eyes.

Obviously, even if he had “returned good for evil', the little boy didn't fully trust him. This discovery surprised William. He felt that he would find more interesting and surprising advantages in the little boy.

"I misunderstood you and wasted your time. I'm very sorry. It’s safe now, and I don't want to delay your time anymore."

This was a very polite remark, but the boy implied that he didn’t want to have anything to do with William and hoped that he would get out of here as soon as possible.

William was cunning enough to know how to disarm a kid.

He didn't mind being “thrown away when used up.”

"All right. I will leave after the hospitalization procedures are completed."

Ian was just a child. He might have been able to take his sister back to China by plane, but he couldn't go through the hospitalization procedures.

"Then thank you, Sir. I will give you the money."

William didn't refute and looked at the boy quietly.

Ian reached for his wallet, only to find it gone.

His face immediately darkened, and he looked for it carefully and found that the wallet was indeed lost.

He had also lost his mobile phone and his sister’s.

Ian's mood was even worse, and his face became even grimmer.

The phone and his wallet must have been lost when he was anxious to find his sister in the crowd, and someone probably stole them.

"What happened?" William saw that the little boy looked upset and couldn't help asking.

What should he do? He had just flatly refused William’s help, but now he was faced with the dilemma of losing his wallet, having no money for hospitalization, and having to ask for help.

No matter how calm Ian had been, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed and helpless at this moment.

His face flushed.

William frowned and became even more worried.

"Tell me, what happened?" He strode to Ian, squatted down, and asked softly but firmly.

"My wallet... is lost."

Ian whispered. He felt his face burning hot and felt very embarrassed.

William, "..."

Although it would be inappropriate, he really wanted to laugh.

He finally saw the calm little boy panic. Although it was unexpected, it was fascinating.

"You go to see your sister first, and I will go through the hospitalization procedures." William held back his smile, touched Ian's head, and said.

"Thank you, Sir." Ian was greatly embarrassed.

"Wait for me." With that, William stood up and walked away.

Ian turned around and silently looked at him leaving.

He was tall, steady, and very reliable. If he had a father, would he be so reassuring?

Ian shook his head violently, driving the thought out of his mind. He pursed his lips and walked quickly towards her sister's ward with a serious face.

Soon William came to the ward with an exquisite packing box.

"Eat something. You should be hungry."

"Thanks."

Ian was indeed hungry.

He and his sister had planned to find their godfather first during the day, but their godfather's cell phone couldn't get through. Reluctantly, he had to send him a text message to tell him about their visit to Chester City briefly. They hoped their godfather could call him as soon as he turned on the phone.

After that, the two of them looked for a place to play, and in the evening, they went to the food court at Doris's insistence.

He was buying delicious food for his foodie sister while the bad guy abducted her, so he hadn’t gotten the chance to eat the food.
