Chapter 2 Cruel Heart

After getting the signature, the doctors started their work quickly. The wound was orderly cut and sutured.

Over an hour later, the surgery was finally finished. Kimora's back was soaked with sweat. As soon as the door of the operating room opened, she saw a man coming up in a hurry.

In the bright and wide corridor, the man was dressed in a checkered shirt. His skin was fair. His collarbones were distinct and pretty, but his sculpted features were contorted with coldness and anger.

He was her so-called husband and the only son of their family friend, Cedric Nieves.

Davian Nieves threw the operation papers to her and glared at her, "Do you have to retaliate against Zoie in this way? Because she was pregnant with my seed? You're sick to abort the child and remove her uterus!"

Kimora removed her mask. Without any makeup, her face still looked stunning. Her amorous eyes, however, were thick with coldness. "Are you not going to tell me when Zoie and you hooked up? Feeling proud of cheating on me?"

She sneered, "Why didn't you take care of her after knocking her up? Where were you when she had a car accident? After the surgery, you finally show up and have the nerve to question me?"

His eyes were blazing with rage. Davian pulled a long face, gritted his teeth, and glared at her, "Unlike you, Zoie is innocent! Before our wedding, you hooked up with my brother. If it were not for the sake of the marriage pledge, do you think I would want a loose woman like you?"

The corner of her lips curved up coldly.

Her mother passed away and her father was reduced to a vegetative state from an accidental fall. To cure her father, she dedicated herself to medicine and left their family business uncared. If such misfortunes didn't happen, she wouldn't have been persuaded by Cedric and allied with them through marriage.

They didn't love each other. She would not be affected at all even if they got divorced one day.

"You had an affair and I lost my virginity before our wedding. Davian, neither of us is noble, so you should come down from your moral high ground."

Davian flared up, "Cut the crap, about Zoie, I demand an explanation!"

The exhausted woman snorted, glanced at him indifferently, and turned to leave.

She had never bothered to explain anything. Whatever he thought!

Davian grabbed her wrist forcefully, "Did I let you leave?"

Kimora squinted at him gloomily and snapped, "Let go."

"You won't leave without a good explanation!" His face was livid and his veins were popping on his forehead.

"Why should I? Who do you think you are?"

Her eyes icy, she shook off his hand and continued to walk away. The man blocked her way, and his big palms grabbed her wrists.

Kimora found it hard to break free from his great strength. Anger surged in her, "Out of the way."

She struggled, but her energy had been exhausted. She was now even less of a match for Davian.

Her heart sinking, she bit his wrist abruptly and mercilessly.

"You crazy bitch!"

Davian shook his hand in pain.

Kimora was shoved away and fell backward.

When she was about to hit the corner, a robust arm caught her. In reflex, she tilted and fell onto a broad, solid chest.

She quickly raised her head.

The contour of the man was distinct and tough. His slanted eyes were distant and cold. His lips and nose were the works of God himself.

Her eyelashes trembled. Had she seen this pair of eyes before?

The man drew his hand back before she could react.

"It's indecent for men to hit women."

His deep, attractive voice was dripping acid.

Davian instantly froze there.

This man was none other than the leader of the Haney Family. He was the youngest leader in their family history.
