Chapter 4 Naughty Little Patient

Soon, her fair skin was exposed to the air. When he was ready to go to the next base, Kimora stated unhurriedly, "Is this all you've got in bed? How disappointing! You can't arouse me at all."

She curled up her lips as if she were reminiscing, "You know, the night before our wedding. He was much more skilled than you. At least, he didn't make me bored."

Her eyes were tinted with sarcasm and provocation.

A flicker of coldness flashed across Davian's eyes. With disgust, he flung her away, "Bitch!"

She laughed indulgently, gathered her open collar, and rose from the sofa lazily, "Bitchy? That makes the two of us."

"Shut up!" As his sore spot was poked, his eyes were glittering with ferocity, "You're nothing but a loose woman. If it were not for the friendship between our families, do you think you could marry me?"

"Is that so?" She couldn't help but laugh out loud. Sarcasm was undisguised in her eyes, "Divorce me, and we're done."

"Dream on!" His face turned livid, "You want a divorce and then fool around? Guess what, I won't set you free. On the contrary, I'll make you suffer!"

He barked and slammed the door.

As soon as the man left, her smile faded away. With a cold face, she entered the bedroom.

Her phone suddenly rang, breaking the quietness.

Without checking the caller ID, she answered her phone, "Hello?"

"Can't recognize my voice?" A frivolous voice came from the other end.

Kimora furrowed her brow, and her voice turned colder, "Anything?"

She had never been nice to Davian's half-brother and illegitimate son of the Nieves Family.

A good man would never keep flirting with a married woman.

"Why are you so cold to me?" Foster Nieves raised his voice and laughed impudently, "I heard that Davian and you had a conflict because of Zoie. How about it? Did he make things difficult for you?"

Kimora's patience ran thin, "What has it got to do with you?"

"How could you be so cold-blooded?" Foster teased in an ambiguous tone, "I can see that you're not happy with Davian. Why don't you follow me? I'll definitely treat you better than he does. At least, I can satisfy your sex life. Think about it, will you?"

Her eyes turned icy. Without the slightest hesitation, she hung up the phone and blacklisted the man.

She turned off her cell phone and finally had a moment of peace.

She tiredly lay down on the bed, but Zoie's bulging belly resurfaced in her mind. She felt ironic and curled her lips.

Whatever! Their marriage was nominal after all.

She drifted off to sleep. Once again, that man appeared in her dream. She had a glimpse of his eyes but could not see him clearly no matter what.

Her eyes opened abruptly, and the white ceiling came into view. After seconds of a daze, she came to her senses.

She grabbed her cell phone and checked the time. It was already 2:00 p.m.

Her shift today would finish in the middle of the night. After another half an hour in bed, she got up, washed up, grabbed something to eat, and went to the hospital.

Meroy was a private hospital famous across River City. Its decorations were high-class and luxurious. Many renowned doctors gathered. The patients here were either rich or noble, so the nurses treated everyone scrupulously.

Kimora went up to the second floor. Before she could enter her office, the nurse going the rounds of the wards today rushed up in a panic, "Dr. Guthrie, the patient in Ward #6 wouldn't have his infusion. I've tried my best to coax him, but to no avail."

She took the record sheet from the nurse's arms, flipped through a few pages, and stated calmly, "Go on with the rounds. I'll check on him."

"Okay, thank you, Dr. Guthrie." The nurse said gratefully.
