Chapter 8 Her Anger Subsided

"Bitch, behave yourself!" Davian tore her blouse without tender feelings. Several buttons on her collar fell off, and a large part of her fair skin was exposed.

It made her blood boil. As coldness ran rampant in her eyes, her legs wrapped around his. She struggled desperately. Her wrists reddened from his grip.

"Davian, you bastard!"

Her blood surged to her head. She desperately avoided his claws and took her chance to bite him.

"Bitch!"

Davian groaned in pain. Anger tinted his eyes red, and he gave her another slap. His movement became more violent, and her clothes were torn apart.

While struggling, she spotted a vase on the nightstand. Regardless of everything, she quickly grabbed it and smashed it to his head when he leaned over to gnaw her neck.

Bang!

The vase shattered and scattered all over the floor. The ferocious man instantly stopped moving, and his head fell on her the next second.

With all her might, Kimora pushed him away, lay weakly on the bed, and panted.

She looked at the ceiling and closed her eyes. Anxiety and anger in her chest slowly subsided.

She heaved a sigh of relief, gathered her clothes, held the edge of the bed, and got up.

Her cell phone suddenly rang. Kimora picked it up tiredly before the anxious voice of a nurse came over, "Dr. Guthrie, emergency! Come to the hospital quickly!"

With a serious face, she asked while quickly changing her clothes, "What's wrong?"

"It's that little patient. His condition suddenly deteriorated. Dr. Guthrie, come quickly!" The nurse urged anxiously.

"Okay, I'll be right there. Stabilize his condition!"

She grabbed a coat, put her hand to Davian's nose, felt his smooth breathing, and went off without hesitation.

As long as his life was not in danger, the rest didn't matter.

In the garage, Kimora quickly got in the car, stepped on the accelerator, and sped towards the hospital. Her face was solemn throughout the journey.

At Meroy Hospital, she didn't take a rest. While listening to the nurse's report, she hastened to the operating room.

"Dr. Guthrie, this patient is very important. If… if something goes wrong…"

The nurse bit her lip. The worry in her eyes was distinct.

"Don't worry about it, just do your job."

She calmly pushed open the door and put on plastic gloves, "What's the situation?"

A male doctor replied, "He suddenly vomited, bled, and had difficulty breathing. Now he is having an arrhythmia."

"CPR right away!" Kimora said calmly, "Also, get blood bags ready."

She did surgical resuscitation orderly. The bright light landed on her and cast a shadow.

"Dr. Guthrie, his heart stopped beating!"

The male doctor shouted in alarm.

Her heart was gripped and her breathing became heavy, but she forced herself to calm down, "One more time, don't panic!"

The doctors acted quickly, concentrated on the rescue, and raced against Death.

The surgery lasted hours till the middle of the night. The boy was finally rescued from the jaws of Death. His vital signs were gradually recovering.

As his heartbeat stabilized, Kimora heaved a sigh of relief. Her long eyelashes cast a shadow over her eyes. "Send him to ICU and keep an eye on him. Report any problem to me timely."

The nurse standing on the side nodded.

Outside the operating room, her bones felt shattered. An exhausted Kimora pounded her back while heading to the lounge.

She decided to stay there for the night. When the patient got better tomorrow, she would go home and rest.

Lost in thought, she entered the lounge and lazily closed the door that suddenly got stuck.

She looked back and saw the tip of a black leather shoe.
