Chapter 6 I'm Your Mother

Kris was scared out of his wits and even forgot to cry.

Elise screamed in fear. If Chelsea accidentally killed Kris, she would lose the qualification of marrying into the Jenkins family.

To pacify Chelsea, she explained hurriedly, "Morrel had your daughter thrown away. He should know her whereabouts!"

Throw away...

She bore the child for ten months, and they threw her away…

The child was a girl, so what? She was also a life!

Wasn't she Morrel's flesh and blood!

The fire of hatred was ignited instantly in her heart. Her crimson eyes were thick of resentment. How dare they treat her daughter like that!

Upon receiving the call, Morrel hurried back and saw the living room in a mess.

Morrel looked at the crazy woman and berated sternly, "Chelsea, what are you doing? Let Kris go!"

"Give back my daughter!"

Morrel frowned and itched to refuse.

Elise hastily pulled him and urged anxiously, "Chelsea has lost her mind. She is really going to strangle our son. Give her daughter back to her!"

Morrel also noticed her abnormal state and thus softened his tone, "Let Kris go first. I promise I'll give your daughter back."

Chelsea was not convinced, "I need to see my daughter first!"

Morrel quickly made arrangements.

...

They went on a bumpy journey. One hour later, the car stopped at the entrance of a remote village.

It was dark, and the country road was narrow. They had to enter the village on foot.

A few minutes later, they stopped at the fence of a shabby farmhouse.

"This is the house. Your daughter is inside."

Chelsea felt ironic as he mentioned 'your daughter' the entire time.

As soon as Morrel's voice died away, a vulgar voice slit through the dead of the night, "You wretch, how dare you steal food! I'm gonna beat the crap out of you!"

Soon, the faint cry of a girl came out.

"I'm starving… I won't do it again, I promise…"

Was… that her daughter?

Chelsea's legs felt weak. She left Kris behind and rushed in like a crazy person.

In front of her eyes, a middle-aged fat woman was whipping a girl in the corner with a broom and shouting abuse.

"Stop it!" Chelsea lost her mind, lunged at the fat woman, and snatched the broom.

The fat woman almost fell and shouted at the intruder fiercely, "Who are you? How dare you poke your nose into my business! Do you have a death wish?"

While shouting, she intended to hit Chelsea.

Chelsea whipped the woman desperately and disregarded her scratches.

Daunted by her madness, the fat woman scrambled out of the house.

The room quieted down, and only their breathing could be heard.

Huddling herself, the thin girl was shuddering and whimpering in the corner.

Chelsea gasped, took a step forward, and intended to approach her. However… her tears fell first.

A faint voice suddenly came over, "Don't cry, it doesn't hurt at all."

Detecting the concern in the girl's clear eyes, Chelsea could no longer contain her emotions. Holding the girl tightly, she choked with sobs, "My baby, I'm sorry I'm late."

"Mommy… you're my mother?"

"Yes, I am."

"Are you here to pick me up?"

Her bright eyes were filled with gingerliness.

Chelsea felt a lump in her throat. Unable to utter a sound, she nodded vigorously.

"Great, my mother is here to pick me up." The girl exclaimed with joy and passed out.

Chelsea was appalled and relieved when the girl's faint breath blew on her fingers. Soon, she found the girl was having a fever.

Losing no time, she picked the girl up and rushed out.

...

Lynch Manor, Lynch City.

William was attacked by the disease again.
