CHAINED TO LOVE YOU

CHAPTER 3

(THE REUNION)

Madison swallowed hard as she watched him walk in stylishly. From his code of dressing, she could tell his fashion taste is a hundred percent.He was dressed in a black fitted suit and black derby shoes. .She swallowed hard again as he removed the sun glasses from his eyes to reveal a perfect set of brown sexy eyes. She gushed at the dimples on his cheek, and his neatly shaved black hairs. No doubt, he was really handsome, she thought.

"Uncle Jason!!" Ella cried and ran towards him. He carried her swiftly and spin her around. She watched as he greeted their parents and everyone in the house. Their eyes haven't met yet and she could sense that he was trying to avoid her.

Jason tried all he could to avoid looking in her direction. On getting into the house, she was the first person he had seen but he had quickly looked away to avoid meeting her eyes. .She had really grown over time.This is the first time he was seeing her for the past 10 years.

She was really beautiful he could tell. She is tall,slim and chocolate skinned. .But what he hates about her was the way she dresses.

He knew she had no taste for fashion right from childhood and now they've grown, she still looks the same.

"Come on you need to meet Madison. Stop pretending you didn't see her," his mother whispered into his ears

"Mother"..... he frowned, looking at his mom who was smiling happily.

"Follow me" she urged and dragged his hand like a kid.

Madison on the other hand was being dragged by her mom to meet Jason. They stopped immediately they met in the middle of the room and both mothers walked away smiling happily.

Just then, everywhere became silent as they both stared at each other for a while. It Seems like the whole world was staring from behind, and the moment became intense as the music changed into blues. Madison pinched herself; she wished she could kill the person who changed the song at once.

They both remained silent as they stared at each other awkwardly.

"Hi" Jason muttered dryly with his eyes on the floor

"Hi" Madison mumbled under her breath as she tried to look away. She could hear everyone giggling and murmuring from behind. "What's so exciting?" she asked herself.

"You've grown," Jason said with sarcasm as he gave her an intimidating look.

Madison's demeanor changed and her jaws dropped. She scoffed and eyed him bitterly.

"Yeah and you too. You know you were still a small boy the last time i saw you" She said sarcastically and chuckled.

He smiled wryly and scratched the back of his head

"How was your trip?" He asked , trying to ignore what she just said.

"it was fine," she replied bluntly

"Can we go out and talk? Seems i'm not comfortable with the atmosphere here" Jason said nervously while looking at the windows behind her.

"Food is ready!" Mrs Thompson announced from the dinning and everyone rushed to the dinning immediately. Jason looked at her and she looked away.

"Let's eat first,'' he said, boiling with anger inside of him as he walked to the dinning.

"What a girl," he muttered inaudibly.

Madison walked to the dinning thinking about how much she wanted to punch him in the eye. He is so rude, she thought. As she got to the dinning, everyone was already seated. Jenny, her younger sister, was sitting close to Jason but on sighting Madison she stood up and ran to sit on the empty seat close to Jerry, her twin brother.

"What's that for?" Madison asked angrily.

Jason, who was already irritated at the situation, turned away at once.

"Sit down and eat. You know it's a tradition for two people who are engaged to sit close to each other during meal time" Mrs Johnson said smiling.

"Whatever.. " she muttered angrily as she walked to sit close to Jason who grimaced and shifted. Their eyes met and they could see anger on each other's face.

"I can see nothing but love in the eyes of these two" Mrs Thompson said smiling

"Yeah love in the air" Mrs Johnson added and everyone laughed.

They both couldn't take it any more and they just wished the meal could be over quickly so they could leave.

After the meal,everyone went out to have fun.

"Let's talk," Jason said to Madison who was playing with Ella at the garden.

"Hmmm!!" She fumed and walked with him to the other side of the garden. They stood facing each other for almost 10 seconds without a word.

"Mad, I want to ask you how you feel about this whole thing our parents want from us," Jason said, staring at her.

She knew that was the reason for the discussion so she smiled sheepishly.

"Um, you know I can't marry you.." she said, waving her dark hairs stylishly with her hands on her waist.

"Me too I can't marry you. I don't love you. I don't even like you, and I have someone else I want to marry plus you're not my type," Jason said in a rather irritating tone.

Madison swallowed hard again as his words hit her drastically. She hated him more at this minute. Her cheeks were burning red and she wished she could just strangle him to death.

"Oh well then, we have the same thought, because I can't even think of living under the same roof with you not to talk of spending the rest of my life with you" she retorted with a chuckle.

Jason smiled bitterly and licked his lips. "So what's the plan?" he asked, raising his face

"I don't know," she replied bluntly.

They both kept silent for some time again.

" Let's discuss it with our parents. I mean we should summon both parents and talk things out with them to let them know how we feel" Jason suggested

"That's fine by me. So when?" She asked, looking away.

"Tomorrow," Jason replied

"Ok fine. Are we done?" she asked with sarcasm.

Jason eyed her and he walked out without replying to her. Madison held herself in anger.

"What the heck; who the hell does he think he is?!!" She yelled to no one in particular.
