>CHAINED TO LOVE YOU>CHAPTER 14 ONCE A FLIRT
CHAPTER 14 ONCE A FLIRT
Madison yawned on her bed as the sunlight pierced through the windows into her room. She knew it was morning already.
She left the hotel last night as soon as it stopped raining. She remembered the good times she shared with Dave last night. Though they haven't had sex yet, they still enjoyed each other's company. She smiled as she thought about him. She picked up her phone to check for messages when she saw a message from an unknown number
" Meet me tonight at the usual spot. We need to discuss" it read.
Jason? she thought as she smiled a bit
"Why am I even smiling?" she asked herself and tried to frown.
The door opened showing her mom.
"Hey baby," her mom said, walking in.
"Good morning mother," she greeted
"You look so bright this morning, what's the secret?" her mom asked
"Nothing, I had a good time with Dave last night,'' she said, trying to annoy her mom.
"What!" you were......"
"We didn't have sex mom! I know that's what you wanna say" she cut in
"Hmm,'' her mom fumed, looking at her.
"least I forgot, Jason sent me a text asking me to see him later today," she said
"What! he asked you out?!" her mom exclaimed
"No mother, we just wanna discuss about our future," she explained
"Yes, that's the spirit baby! the future. I can see you both are getting along, come on let's go plan a dress for you and let's go make your hair" she said excitedly
"Mom, you're pissing me off. It's just a little discussion that's all"
"But you sounded so happy baby, I caught you blushing, " her mom said laughing.
"urhhgg!!" Madison said in frustration. "I shouldn't have told you, " she said
"You like him, tell me the truth" her mom said
"Mom! I like Jason? That's quite absurd" she chuckled
.
"Same thing I said about your dad until I fell in love with him. Baby, marriage is not about who your heart wants, it's about using your head to know what you need and not what you want "Mrs Thompson advised her daughter
"I want Dave and I need him too. Jason is a flirt and a jerk I don't need such man in my life" she said
"You didn't get to know him well," her mom said.
"Enough mom. Is breakfast ready?"she asked as she put on her slippers
"Yeah, i came to get you,"her mom replied
**
At about 7:30 pm, Madison drove into the " One more night " beach and resorts. She was dressed
in a black pair of jean trousers and a white blouse to match. She picked up her phone and called Jason as soon she came out of the car
"Hey where are you?" she asked
"You're there already?" he asked with surprise in his tone
"Yeah.... you are not here yet?" she asked
"Um... I'll be there right away. I'm on my way" he said
"Always late," she murmured and hung up.
She found her way to the beach side. A few people were there chilling. There was no carnival tonight and she loved it this way.
It was peaceful without noise. She found a spot and sat down. An attendant walked to meet her.
"What do you care for ma'am?" he asked , smiling politely.
Madison looked at him and she was amazed at how neatly dressed he was and his friendly manner of approach. He was looking so handsome too with his hair neatly cut to match his oval face. He had a pointed nose too and his eyes were so white and sexy like that of a child.
"Um...." She tried to speak and found herself laughing. He laughed too knowing she must have been admiring him.
"Hope my question didn't make you laugh ma'am?" he asked, smiling
"No,no it's fine" she said, trying to look away before she embarrassed herself.
"Just get me um, a bottle of Irish cream. I'm fine with that," she said, smiling
"OK ma'am" he said and walked out
Damn!! So handsome. He doesn't suit this job, she thought as she smiled.
Not long, he returned with the bottle of Irish cream and a glass. He dropped it in front of her
"Here you go princess," he said, smiling.
She looked at him and they both laughed again
"I'm not a princess" She blushed
"Every woman is a princess, Milady," he said, smiling and she laughed
"You sure know how to make a woman fall," she said, smiling
"I'm only doing my job," he replied.
They both laughed again. They were still laughing when Jason walked in. He looked at them in disgust, wondering what they were up to.
"You're here," Madison said to him.
Jason didn't reply. He eyed the attendant who walked away immediately and then he turned to Madison and eyed her too
"So you like him too? I thought you had a boyfriend" he said sarcastically
"Jason I'm not here for your trash right now, OK? Just sit down and let's talk" she said angrily
"Hmm, I thought you were a decent girl and you don't flirt!" He continued with a smirk on his face
"What's wrong with you!" She yelled. "You think I'm like you who flirts with everything under a skirt?"
"At least I don't pretend like some people,'' He said irritatingly
"You're so annoying," she said angrily.
He ignored her and waved for an attendant to come. He made his orders and the attendant left. He watched her sip her drink in silence. He could see the anger in her face. He loves it when she's angry and he smiled to himself.
"You shaved already?" she asked, looking at his face smiling
"Yeah I just decided to" He replied
"No, you shaved because I called you a goat!" she exclaimed and burst into laughter
"What! Don't even go there. You thought I was hurt? You must be joking" he said as he licked his lips
"Then why did you shave?" she asked with a silly smile on her face
"I just did ok? It's none of your business" he slammed
"Ok, so learn to mind your business too," she said angrily.
"How are you?" he asked, smiling but she didn't reply
"Stop being rude I just asked a question" he said as he eyed her
"You just don't know how to mind your business" she said as she sipped her drink
"Hmm, I shouldn't have asked. It's not even my business how you are faring," he snarled
"Fine!" she fumed and they both kept silent again. The attendant returned with Jason's drinks which he placed in front of him.
"Why do you like this place?" she asked, breaking the silence between them and he smiled
"It's nice isn't it?" he asked
"Yeah I kind of like it," she replied. He smiled and sipped his drink.
"You're late," she said
"I'm sorry. I was at work and I guess you were too punctual,'' he said and she fumed
"Just joking, '' he said, laughing. She watched him laugh. The dimples on his cheeks got her admiring for long.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" he asked as he noticed her staring at him
She turned away at once.
"How did it go with you? Anything positive?" she asked, ignoring his words
"No, it went so bad," He replied. "What about yours?" he asked
"Same thing. They don't want him" she replied sadly
"Did he get mad?" he asked
"Yeah and I'm sure she got mad too" she said
"Yeah, I'm so confused now" he said
"What other options do we have? Because I know marrying you is not an option" she said and he paused to look at her.
He smiled wryly and continued sipping his wine
"I can't even stand a day with you" he said and let out a chuckle
"So what are we gonna do now?" she asked
"I don't know, am I the only one to bring ideas?" he asked
"Hey, none of your ideas worked, remember?" she asked
"Then let me see if yours can" he said smiling
She kept mute for some time. "Dave said he wants to meet you" she said
"Your boyfriend?" he asked with a smirk
"Yeah he wants to meet with you" she replied
"So he could kill me?" he asked laughing
"Not funny!" she fumed. "Why would he wanna kill you?"
"Cause he may feel am the only one standing in his way to get you," he said, laughing
"You don't even stand a chance," she said
"WelI, i can still decide to marry you and he won't have you," he grinned
"You must be mad! Don't even think about it!" she yelled
"I'm not thinking about it, I just want you to respect me," he said
"You don't know what you're talking about, "she winced
"So tell me, what if our plans doesn't work, what are we gonna do cause I can clearly see they ain't working" he said seriously
"Dave and I will have to elope," she said.
Jason looked at her in surprise. He burst into laughter at once
""What's funny?" she asked, looking at him disgustingly
"So you want to disobey your parents because of a man?" he asked with all seriousness
"Why not? it's better than getting married to you!" she snapped
"Hey, well, hmm I think I have an idea," he said
"Spill it," she said
"Since you want to elope with him, it's fine. Then our parents won't have any room to make me want to marry you anymore and so they can approve of my marriage to the girl I want" he said excitedly"
"Bravo!" she clapped. "Just hear yourself out Jason. So I would be the bad child and then you will be the good boy then," she added
"Yeah, you brought up the subject of eloping and it worked in my favor, so please you have to elope with Dave," he said
"You aint serious, I'm eloping no more!" She sneered
"Uh? So what are we gonna do? fold our arms and get married?" he asked angrily
She kept mute.
"We will think of a way but first we have to meet both partners" she suggested
"So you wanna see my girl huh?" he asked smiling
"I want us to meet and discuss this whole thing. Either of them may have an idea" she said
"Fine, so when are we meeting?" he asked
"Tomorrow. Bcause there is no time left Jason," she said sadly
"Yeah I know. So shall we meet here tomorrow?" he asked
"Yeah it's fine" she replied
"Ok, settled then" he said and they both kept silent while sipping their drinks.
"I guess you came with your own car cause there is no way I'm dropping you off," he said
"Huh? And you thought in your wildest dreams I would want you to drop me off? Come off it man, I came with my ride just in case you decide to be silly again" she said
"Hmm fine" he snarled
"You're lucky I didn't blow up your secret in front of your parents the other time" she said smiling
"What're you gonna tell them? That I was dancing with girls and so what?" he asked
"Oh? You were flirting with them precisely" she replied
"I don't flirt!" he slammed
"Then you could have let me speak then," she said
"I wasn't the one flirting with an attendant," he said sarcastically
"You're not okay. You're sick in the head" she said, standing up from her seat. He chuckled as he watched her stand up
"You look hot," he remarked in a flirty manner
"What!" she yelled. "Don't try to flirt with me" she yelled and walked away. He followed after her.
"You should be happy you know, cause I don't like giving compliments to ladies" he said, smiling as he walked behind her
"You just won't change. Once a flirt will always be a flirt!" she said, walking fast as the breeze from the beach blew her hair backwards.
He hurried to catch up with her and he held her arms and drew her closer.
They both stood only a meter apart with their faces almost touching each other. The breeze blew across their faces leaving a hair stranded on Madison's face. He tried to tuck it behind her ears but she grabbed his hand
"Get the fuck off!" she yelled as she freed herself from him and walked out.
He watched her walk away. He smiled to himself and picked a cigarette from his pocket which he lit and began to smoke.
