The Cheating Boyfriend And Backstabbing Best Friend

"Oh, Cameron… You're such a tease!" My best friend, Sierra said to my boyfriend, Cameron who had his back to me and was facing her. Her eyes raised up from him to look at me with a smug smile stretched across her face like she had won a trophy and I lost it.

He had his arms around her waist as they stood beside the bar. I raised my hand to my chest as I felt my heart break at seeing the scene. Cameron and I have been dating for five years, and I thought that he was going to propose for us to mate and get married today when I saw his text that said that I should meet him at this restaurant by the bar.

However, it seemed that he wasn't the one that sent me the text since his phone was gripped in Sierra's hand. I couldn't believe that she would do that to me after all that we've been through together. I also had no idea that she was so jealous of my relationship with him that she had to steal him away from me. But then, she has always been jealous of everything I have ever had.

We have been friends since College when we became roommates and found out that we were both werewolves. We bowed to stick together since we didn't have a pack. I thought that she took me as her best friend like I took her, but it seemed that I was wrong. Dead wrong. I didn't know when tears started spilling from my eyes as I watched the scene.

It seemed that Cameron didn't know that she texted me or that I was even there. It was only when a loud sob left my lips that he turned around to see me standing there. His eyes widened in shock, and he quickly walked away from Sierra to walk towards me. Her face turned sour when she saw that, but she followed him and grabbed onto his arm.

He glanced at her with a frown then looked back at me, "Kat, it's not what it looks like!"

"No, it's exactly what it looks like." Sierra argued as she glared at me.

He turned to her as his frown deepened, "What are you doing?!"

Before she could reply him, I tried to wipe my tears away with both of my hands and asked, "How could you, Cameron? I trusted you, I loved you, but you betrayed me like this?"

I didn't give him a chance to reply and turned to Sierra as I said to her, "And Sierra, how could you? We're supposed to be best friends!"

Sierra rolled her eyes, "Boohoo, you got betrayed by your boyfriend and best friend, so what? Aren't you the perfect Kat? You have everything you will ever need! Two parents that love you, a good degree, a good job and a great boyfriend. Oh wait, scratch the last part."

She let out a taunting laugh and added, "Guess you aren't so perfect after all."

"Sierra, will you stop?" Cameron told her off in a tense voice.

He turned to me with a pitiful and worried expression, "Kat, don't let this destroy our relationship. You know that I love you, right? It was a mistake to come here with Sierra."

She gasped and jouted her bottom lip out in a pout as she looked at him, "How can say that, Cameron? We have been meeting here every day for the past two months."

I looked at Cameron in disbelief, "You've been cheating on me for two months? Yet, you were promising to propose to me and be my mate during those two months. We're over, Cameron!"

"Kat, don't say that. We can work things out-" I didn't let him finish as I shook my head and cut him off.

"Just leave me alone, and go be with Sierra." I said through gritted teeth as I felt my wolf pushing to the surface out of anger. Letting out a deep breath to calm her down, I stalked towards the bar.

I sat on the stools with a frown on my face as the tears on my cheeks dried up. Taking in a deep breath, I chanced a glance at where I left my cheating, long-term boyfriend and best friend. However, I was surprised to see that they were no where in sight, but also glad since I didn't have the strength to start heading home now. I turned to the bartender who was watching me with an odd look while cleaning a wine glass with a towel.

"Hey, can I have a martini or anything light, but can just help me forget this night?" I asked him and he looked at me with a pitiful expression.

He probably saw what happened with Cameron and Sierra, no, I was sure that he and the people in the restaurant saw us. It was very embarrassing, but at least I wasn't the one that would be called the boyfriend/mate snatcher or whore. The bartender nodded, "Sure."

He turned around towards the bottles of all types of alcohol and proceeded to grab one. While I was waiting for my alcoholic drink, I looked around to spot a man walking towards me. A very good looking man, and he was also hot, rugged and had s*xy tattoos running up and down his muscular biceps.

He was wearing blue jeans and a sleeveless dark shirt that fitted him very well, showing how fit he was. His hair was sleeked back except for the front part curling against his forehead in a s*xy way. I couldn't help, but stare at him since I have never seen a guy as hot or good looking as he was. I was shocked the third time that night to see him stop in front of me.

His gaze traveled over my body that was dressed in a long, white skirt and a beige short sleeved tank top in a quick scan before they settled on my eyes. "You don't look like the type to drink or party."

"That's because I don't, besides, this is still a restaurant even though its half is a club." I replied him as I averted my eyes from him, so that he wouldn't catch me staring.

His lips tugged up into a smile, "Yes, it is."

"Here is your drink, miss." The bartender said, taking our attention to him.
