Chapter 8 Follow Me to Bedroom

After lunch, they strolled for a while. Then, Alison hailed a taxi back to the Cullinan Moore Mansion. Jason was already at home. Sitting straight in the living room, he was reading a book.

Alison came up to greet him and ask, "Since we've got the marriage certificate. When will we sign the agreement? And, can I add another clause?"

Jason cast his eyes up, "What is it?"

"I..." Alison purses her lips and found it embarrassing to bring it up.

In the end, she shook her head, "How is your reexamination?"

"Pretty good." Jason sounded cool and casual, "Don't worry, I won't die any time soon."

Alison was left speechless.

Given the indifference and intense weariness in his eyes, Alison found her request redundant.

Although they already got married, he still looked unapproachable.

Besides, they lived in different rooms. What would happen?

Jason closed the book and crooked his finger at her, "Come, follow me to the bedroom."

Alison panicked, "What for?"

At the sight of her fluster, Jason curled up his lips, took a step forward, and looked down at her face, "What do you think a couple would do in the bedroom?"

He sounded teasing and cold. Close to her, his pretty face looked a little vicious.

Alison took a step back in fear and slumped onto the sofa, "Jason... I... you..."

Jason leaned over and looked directly into her eyes, "I believe you haven't been prepared and don't know the meaning of marriage."

Alison almost collapsed under the same question from two people.

She got up with a start, looked up into Jason's eyes, and spoke in a firm voice.

"I am not prepared and don't know about the meaning of marriage. But I know although we've obtained the marriage certificate, we are still strangers. As for things like feelings should take time to develop..."

"Taking time to develop." Jason rubbed his fingers, "If I'm not wrong, you said I had six months to live. Is it long enough for you?"

"I..." Alison straightened her neck, "Yes!"

At the sight of the obstinacy on her face and an imperceptible flicker of fluster in her eyes, Jason curled up his lips and teased coldly.

"What are you thinking? I've bought some clothes for you and placed them in my bedroom. I'm getting them for you."

Alison was left speechless.

Seriously? You just went to get the clothes. Why making... such a scene!

Alison heaved a sigh of relief and followed Jason upstairs.

Two steps above, the tall and graceful figure of the man looked impressive.

He changed back into his blue shirt. The informal shirt had mandarin collars that revealed part of his wheat skin around his neck. Dark short hair was on top.

Bang!

Eyeing the man's head, Alison failed to notice his halted steps, and her face kissed his back.

She covered her sore nose, missed a step, and fell backward. Quick in reaction, the man turned around, gripped her hand, yanked her back, and readily threw his arm around her waist.

Her ear was right on the man's chest, and she could hear his strong heartbeat and feel his power.

"You..." Alison pressed her lips, "You don't look like seriously ill."

"Cough..." Jason clenched the other hand, put it to his lips, and coughed slightly.

Alison hastily took a step away from him, "Are you alright?"

Jason shook his head and pushed open the bedroom door.

The same black, white, and grey furnishings came into her view. A strong hormonal scent with slightly mint fragrance wafted out.

On his long legs, the man walked into the room, picked up a few shopping bags from the sofa, and handed them to her.

"Here you are."

Full of gratitude, Alison took them. Before she could thank him, the man added, "Since you are already my woman, you should dress beautifully whenever you go out and don't be a disgrace."

Alison didn't know what to say.

The gratitude vanished. Rolling her eyes, she strode back to her room.
