Chapter 5 Big Fight
When Lettice came into the room, the once quiet ward immediately became noisy, which made Sophia frowned. "Apparently, they didn't care to ask about grandfather's condition for years. Now, they are here to fight for grandfather's property." She thought.
"This is old man's final moment. Could you let him go with peace?" The sound of Uncle was with anger.
At this time, Lettice stopped crying and said fiercely, "Brother, old man is dying. Is it time to decide who gets his house and funeral subsidize offered by the country in the future?"
"Dad is still alive. Besides, the country won't offer the funeral subsidize until he is gone." Uncle was an honest and considerate man, who was no match to Randal Green and Lettice in terms of being unreasonable.
At the time, Sophia's unfaithful Dad started talking. "Brother, you can't keep this money to yourself. No matter what, Dad has two son--you and me."
"You..." Uncle was pissed off by Randal and pointed at him, looking pale.
Aunt came up to hold Uncle in a hurry, saying worriedly, "Are you having a heart attack?"
"That's right. We deserve a cut of grandfather's money!" Step daughter Penny also went up to back up her step dad.
Aunt helped Uncle to sit on the chair and turned around to accuse Randal, "Second brother, how could you fight for Dad's properties? Where were you in these years when Dad was sick? These two women have no responsibility to visit him. But you are Dad's son and you didn't even take a look at Dad when he was ill. Are you heartless?"
Randal was in the wrong and couldn't say a word for a while.
Yet Lettice began stirring up trouble. "Sister-in-law, if you and brother want more money, we can let you have more. Don't flatter yourselves. You take care of father because you want his pension."
Aunt was agitated by Lettice and pointed at her, saying with a pale face, "Ever since you married second brother, you have caused trouble in the family. You're such a jinx!"
"Who's a jinx?" Lettice came up fiercely.
"Is there anyone worse than you?" Aunt showed her contempt for Lettice.
"You are always picking on me. Don't you think that I'm soft. Today we can have a fight. I'm not afraid of you!" While shouting loud, Lettice went into a fight with Aunt.
After all, Aunt was older and she was lagging after a few rounds.
"Stop fighting!" Uncle who sat on the chair couldn't move, while Randal was walking around Aunt and Lettice.
"Mum, give her a hard lesson. She won't dare to look down on us!" Penny was adding fuel to the fire.
Soon, Lettice grabbed Aunt's hair and slapped her face twice.
Sophia saw it and knew that if she didn't stop them, Aunt would suffer a great deal.
Therefore, the next moment, Sophia went up to pull away Lettice.
Aunt was finally free and returned a slap to Lettice during the process.
Lettice, being slapped, was infuriated and yelled immediately, "Bad girl, how dare you help her!"
Lettice walked up to push Sophia, who thus stumbled onto the bed rail and started sweating because of the pain.
"Randal, are you dead? You don't act when your wife is bullied. Are you a man or what?" Lettice turned to yell at Randal.
