Chapter 14 Hubby Is So Sweet

In the evening, Nathan went back to the villa and asked the servant about Simona's condition.

"Miss Sam had a pot of porridge, an apple, and a banana in the afternoon. Her appetite is quite good." Replied the servant.

"Did she take her medicine?"

"Well... Miss Sam claimed that she was well and didn't need more medicine. She wouldn't take it."

Nathan came upstairs and gently pushed open the door.

The girl was seen lying prone on the pillow, sound asleep. He could even hear her slight snoring sound.

The corners of his mouth curving up involuntarily, he walked over quietly and tucked her in.

Simona rubbed her eye.

It was a man's face.

Oh... her hubby.

Still in drowsiness, she smiled, got up from bed, and looked up at him, "Hubby, you... you're back."

Nathan hummed in a deep voice and looked a little unhappy, "Why didn't you take your medicine?"

"Hmm, medicine... medicine too bitter."

Nathan turned around, poured a glass of water, and handed her the medicine, "Take it."

Simona obediently opened her mouth.

After feeding her medicine, he placed his palm on her forehead.

Her fever already subdued, her face looked ruddy, her spirit looked good, and her appetite was well.

Simona weighed her options and ventured to ask in a low voice, "Can... can I go... go to school to... tomorrow?"

"You want to go to school?" Nathan was lost in thought. It was not that he wouldn't let her go, but she hadn't fully recovered.

"Hmm..."

Miss Sam stammered a load of explanations.

Her reason was that the schoolwork for the senior year was heavy. Now it was May, and the college entrance exam was just around the corner. She couldn't be left far behind.

Nathan couldn't reject it in the end.

Like a well-behaved child, Simona leaned against the man, threw her hands gently around his arm, and grinned at him, "H... hubby is so sweet!"

...

Early the next morning.

After breakfast, Nathan drove Simona to school in person.

When they almost reached the destination, Simona suggested, "H... hubby, drop... drop me off here."

Nathan squinted at her and pulled off the car.

Before she graduated, it was indeed necessary for him to keep a low profile. In so doing, unnecessary gossip and trouble could be avoided.

"After school this afternoon, I'll have the driver wait here."

"Oh, h... hubby, see you."

Simona beamed, carried her school bag, waved at him, and turned away to the school.

When he watched her petite figure, the corners of his mouth slightly curved up. Until she was seen entering the school gate, he started the car to leave.

The classroom was quiet. All the students were keeping their heads low to review their lessons.

When Simona got in, strange gazes immediately landed on her, accompanied by whispers of discussions.

"Look, the stutterer is here..."

Simona had been used to this.

Her senior year had extended for three years, and her classmates changed with the time, but their strange gazes were the same.

Luckily, this was the best high school in North City. The management was strict, and the school culture was upright. No such absurd things like bullying existed in this school.

Simona simply ignored those students.

As soon as she sat down, her desk mate, Tracy Miller, secretly leaned closer, "Simona, why were you off school for so many days?"

"Talk... talk to you later."

At lunchtime, Simona and Tracy came to the cafeteria and chose a corner.

Tracy was her desk mate and best friend. They could confide in each other.

"Simona, what happened exactly?"

"I, I..."

Tracy pursed her lips and chuckled, "It's okay, Simona. They won't hear you, talk normally."

Simona glanced around and curled up her lips, "I have to be cautious!"
