Chapter 16 Simona's Second Uncle

After school, Simona packed up her school bag and whispered in Tracy's ear, "Tracy, I'll not go with you. My husband's driver is waiting for me outside."

Tracy smiled awkwardly, "Simona, you sound quite natural about your appellation."

If someone else heard that, he would really believe she was talking about her husband.

Simona's cheeks turned slightly rosy.

Indeed, why did she sound so natural? She blurted it out.

Before departure, Tracy grabbed Simona's hand, "Simona, since you've made up your mind, I know further persuasions won't work, but you need to promise me that you will protect yourself well, okay?"

"Mm, I will." Simona nodded, "Keep in touch via WeChat!"

Given the current situation, it was much safer and more comfortable for her to follow Nathan than stay in Sam's house.

She could eat and sleep as she liked. There were also servants tending to her needs every day.

She knew she had nothing to lose!

When Tracy just left, someone suddenly called her. Following the familiar voice, Simona turned her head.

It was Evan Smith from Class 2 next door!

Simona immediately changed countenance.

In her mind, this boy was the real retard!

About 1.65 meters, Evan looked fat, chubby, and gullible.

He scratched his head and smiled fatuously, "Simo, you are back to school. Were you sick?"

The corners of Simona's eyes twitched.

Simo? Who allowed him to call her like that?

Evan took out a few notebooks from his school bag, "You didn't attend the class for days, and these are the notes I borrowed from others. Take them for your reference."

"Simo, let's work hard together this year and prove to them that we can get into college!"

... Simona was left speechless.

Since Simona made no reply, the flattery on his face turned into dismay, "Simo, take them, don't be shy."

He liked Simona ever since his first year of high school.

He stayed down for the second year. His grades were poor, and he failed PE every time.

She had also been a senior for several years, and people laughed at her behind her back for her stutter.

During the make-up examinations, he had seen her many times.

In Evan's view, Simona and he were a perfect match.

"I'm fine. I... I don't need them!" Simona sounded resolute and cold.

Then she turned away.

Evan followed her and grabbed her wrist, "Simo, wait for me..."

Simona shook off his hand with disdain and quickened her pace.

It was almost three years. Who knew why the obnoxious little fatty always kept an eye on her?

A toad lusted after a swan's flesh!

... Simona suddenly halted her steps and looked up blankly at a man who suddenly appeared.

With a sullen face, Nathan reached out and pulled Simona to his side.

He bowed his head and asked in a slightly cold tone, "Who is he?"

"He, he..."

Before she could explain, Evan widened his eyes in shock, "Hey, who... who are you?"

A flash of coldness crossed Nathan's poker face.

After a moment of silence, he answered, "Simona's second uncle."

... Simona gasped. Second uncle?

Confounded, Evan scratched his ears and cheeks, lost in thought.

The second uncle... should be an elder brother of her father, but why was he so young?

"Simo, he is really your second uncle?"

Simona held Nathan's arm, leaned her head over, and squinted at Evan.
