Chapter 5 Got Bitten

Unexpectedly, Etan would bite!

Out of reflex, Winter pushed him, but he would not let go.

Her mother-in-law's words suddenly echoed in her mind. He only had the intelligence of a child and forbade anyone to approach him.

The once chosen one came to this, and a pang of sadness went through Winter.

From now on, he would be her husband and probably the only one she could rely on. She might be able to help him cure his illness.

Bearing the pain, Winter spoke in a soft voice, "There there, let go, you are hurting me!"

As she spoke, she found that he showed no signs of letting go and thus gently stroked his thick air as if he was an unruly child.

Feeling her touch, he abruptly let go, steered the wheelchair away instantly, and looked fiercely at her.

He didn't like anyone to touch him!

Winter saw a circle of deep teeth marks on her fair arm. It was bleeding, and the pain was burning.

But compared with his condition, Winter felt her pain was not as pitiful.

"Mister, don't move, I'm going to find some medicine!" Enduring the pain, Winter said in a soft tone.

But Etan looked expressionless as if he hadn't bitten anyone.

Winter slightly heaved a sigh.

Rat-tat!

Someone was knocking on the door.

Winter opened the door, and only a hand reached in. There came a timid voice, "Madam, this is from Chester."

As soon as Winter took the medical kit, the door was closed again.

Chester looked at the closed door and shook his head with sympathy in his eyes.

Winter opened the medical kit and found various anti-inflammatories, including disinfectant, blood circulation ointments, etc.

The medicine was so complete, which indicated the retarded man often hurt the rest in the house.

Winter disinfected her wound, applied the ointment, and muttered, "Fortunately, it's a human bite. If it's a dog bite, I'm afraid I would have to get vaccinated. But, do you carry any infectious disease?" Winter suddenly turned back and looked at the dull man.

His face was still handsome and stunning, but his expression was blank. Winter felt sorry for him, shook her head helplessly, and continued to treat her wound.

As soon as she finished treating the wound, someone knocked on the door again.

Winter opened the door. It was Chester this time. Along with the meal, he brought over a file, "This is the new meal for mister!"

Winter made way for Chester to get in.

He put down the things in his hands, looked at Winter with a solemn face, and asked, "Madam, where did you get hurt? Are you all right?"

Winter shook her head, "My arm got bitten. It's okay!"

"Don't worry, madam. Except for his brain damage and grumpy temper, mister has no other disease! This is his latest medical report. Mister hasn't had anything the whole day, please feed him. Your efforts are appreciated!"

Winter turned back for a glance at the silent man sitting there like a perfect statue and then nodded at Chester, "I'll do my utmost to take care of him!"

"Then please excuse me!" Chester took a solemn glance at the man and retired.

Winter picked up the medical report and flipped through it casually. His physical condition was normal.

"Anyhow, I should feed him first!" She picked up the bowl, walked to Etan, slightly squatted, and looked up at him. From this angle, children would feel less pressure, and he would relax.

As he watched her draw close, his face became cold to the extreme. At any moment, he might erupt with anger.
