Chapter 9 Never Get Divorced
Cissy never expected Travon said that. She felt warm when she heard the word "home".
Travon was completely different from what she saw in the media.
They were very quiet in the car. Travon was reading a book, but he could not focus. He couldn't help but, from time to time, glance at the girl who was swiping her phone quietly.
Cissy was reading hot news on social media. The hottest news was the division of property of Evan Juan, a superstar, in his divorce. The other news was all about the relationship between Evan Juan and Meggie River.
Cissy tapped the title and the content was fully displayed after quite a while. It was reported that Evan's property had gone halves after he got divorced for he had not signed any premarital agreement.
Their marriage had lasted less than a year. Meggie used to be a young model. Since they got married, she hadn't worked. And now she had taken away half of Evan's property.
"Ah!" Cissy shouted suddenly. "What's the matter?" asked Travon after he heard her shouting and noticed that her face had changed.
"We haven't signed a premarital agreement yet," Cissy's face was red with anxiety.
She had nothing but a harsh contract with a company. Travon's property was uncountable. When he was an actor, he was always the number one on the actor rich list. If they got divorced, she certainly would not take his money, but she felt obligated to remind him when she noticed that.
"But it's fine. We can make it up. After we get divorced, I won't take your money."
"Not necessary!" Travon responded angrily when he found the girl was excited about the divorce topic.
In Travon's mind, they would never get divorced.
After they went back home, Travon let Cissy stay in his bedroom and picked some clothes for her and put them in the closet, before he moved to the study.
Cissy was reading a script. When Travon was present, she was dazzled. However, when he was away, the image of Chad and Gloria twining together kept haunting her. That was very irritating.
Lucy came to ask her for dinner. When she arrived at the dining room, Travon had already been waiting for her, not annoyed at all.
They finished it quietly. When Travon reached the stairs, he said to Cissy half-jokingly, "you are my wife. You can only dream about me."
These words seemed magical. Chad was out of her mind when she went back to the bedroom again.
The next morning, Cissy picked a turtleneck sweater and jeans from the clothes and put them on. Then, she walked downstairs after washing up.
Travon was reading a newspaper. When he heard her footstep and raised his head, he saw a vigorous and light-footed girl coming to her.
Cissy was eating a little too fast for it was far here from the subway station.
"Take your time," Travon gave her a glass of water. "Tim will take you there. It takes only half an hour."
Cissy felt a bit uncomfortable since Travon was too good to her. She neither wanted to owe him too much nor disappointed him.
There would be a chance to return the favor, she thought.
It was an ordinary car. No one would notice it. Tim was quiet and drove steadily.
"Cissy, the scenes today are crucial. You will have an important fight scene with the stuntwoman of the supporting female lead. Get ready for it." shouted the assistant director with a big belly.
"OK!" Cissy nodded.
"You weren't hurt the day before yesterday, were you?" Chandler came and asked her. The fight scenes were too tense. He, as a man, could hardly stand it and was covered in bruises, not to mention Cissy who took a bigger part in it. Meanwhile, she had to go back home after that because she was asked to leave her room to the stuntwoman of the supporting female lead.
"I'm fine!" Cissy didn't care about it at all. "Oh, the scenes today are very difficult. Do you know that new stuntwoman?"
"No, I don't. But I heard that she graduated from a martial arts school. Don't worry!"
