Chapter 7 Where were You in the Morning?

In a blink of an eye, one month had passed.

However, she still knew nothing about her newly married husband except for his name and his villa.

Beep!

Judie, who was lost in thoughts, was shocked by the sharp car horn. She looked back and found Charles' car was coming up.

She got out of the way.

The car stopped before her. After a window was rolled down, she saw Charles' sharp handsome face.

"Charles." Judie smiled slightly.

"Why, standing here?" Charles frowned.

It was hot at noon, and Judie's cheeks were reddened from the sun.

"Uh, I'm going in." Judie trotted through the gate.

She waited for Charles in the courtyard.

After the car drove in, the door opened, and a board stretched out for Charles' wheelchair to move out of the vehicle. Charles was quite good at riding it.

Judie immediately went to his back and lay her hands on the push handles.

"Boss"

Kelvin nodded his head and said, "Mr. and Mrs. Shield, if there is nothing else I can do, I'll excuse myself."

Charles nodded.

Kelvin left.

Charles raised his head slightly. Judie understood the gesture and pushed him to the living room.

It was a lavishly decorated living room. The crystal chandelier reflected the sunlight that came from the courtyard.

The hand-made light leather sofa was cozy. On the tea-table were decorative objects.

All of these were expensive, not to mention the LCD TV that was almost as large as the wall. When she first watched the TV, the visual and audio experience was far beyond the imagination of a girl from an ordinary family like her.

"Sir, madam." The steward with two lines of servants were waiting for them.

When she first arrived at this villa, Judie was astounded by them. Now she was used to it.

"Sir, madam. The lunch has been ready," said the steward respectfully.

Judie nodded with a smile and pushed the expressionless Charles to the dining room.

The approximately 100-square-meter dining room was larger than Judie's home.

In the middle of the smooth glossy floor was a rectangular dining table covered by a fancy tablecloth. Now the table was full of delicious food.

All the food was just for one meal for the couple. For the Ernst family, it would take one week to finish them. However, Charles and Judie's leftover was thrown away.

Though she had been living here for a month, Judie still thought it was wasteful.

Looking away a bit, she could see the liquor cabinet on the left of the dining room was full of the world's great wines. They were all collections belonging to Charles.

Judie pushed Charles to his position and sat opposite him.

"Where were you in the morning? Why did you come back so late?" Charles pulled a long face.

Judie stopped eating.

When they were about to get married, he asked if she was in a relationship and told him honestly that she had just broken up with her boyfriend.

Would he be angry if he was told that she had just met her ex-boyfriend today?

After thinking about these, she replied vaguely, "I just walked around."

Charles glanced at her and said nothing.

His silence made Judie felt relieved.

After dinner, Judie pushed him to the bedroom.

The bedroom with a cloakroom was even bigger than the dining room. The décor was cold, with only three shades of black, white, and grey, but it still looked good. The bedroom was Judie's favorite place.

In the last month, they lived together and slept together, and Judie felt fine with that. But what had happened last night had changed her mind.

She felt ashamed and dared not to look at his eyes.

She fetched a robe of Charles from the cloakroom and put it on the edge of the bed.

"Let me help you change your robe, Charles."

He did not respond, and his face was still glazed.

Judie squatted before him and raised her hands to unbutton him attentively.

Charles looked down on her. Her skin was fair, and her eyelashes were long and curl. Under her delicate nose was her peachy lips, pretty and appealing. One could not help but kiss them.
