Chapter 8 Not Now
Charles tasted her lips for the first time last night. Now even thinking of it could make him feel tense.
Despite himself, his long fingers pinched her delicate chin.
Judie focused on unbuttoning him. When she undid the third button, his brawny and well-defined chest made her heartbeat accelerate.
At the very moment, when she realized her chin was gripped and glanced up at him, she was kissed.
"Mm!"
Judie was round-eyed and still.
For Judie, this was the first time Charles kissed her.
He kissed her softly and then roughly. Judie did not know how to respond but staring at him. Her heartbeat skipped insanely fast.
Suddenly, the man grasped her arm and pulled her. Judie stood up, and the next moment sat on his thighs, but their lips did not part.
Judie's cheeks reddened, and her heartbeat skipped like a drum. She pushed him instinctively, but her hands were grasped and pulled to his chest.
There is no escape. In front of her was his enlarged handsome face. Her brain was in a mess. She could do nothing but stay in his arms, being kissed. Her long upper eyelashes got closer and closer to the lower ones slowly.
Charles' kiss became wilder. He just wanted to give her a light kiss. However, when his lips touched hers, he could no longer control himself. He started to tug her blouse.
One pearl button was rudely ripped off and fell on the floor.
Then the second one.
Judie came back to herself and grasped his wrist with one hand and collars with the other, "Charles, I, I," she stammered anxiously.
She did not know what she wanted to say. She had no right to refuse him, but she could not let him discover the hickeys all over her body.
No!
He must not see them!
Judie tried her best to pull one end of the collar to the other.
The lust in his eyes disappeared in a second. He stared at her and said, "because I'm disabled?"
"No! It's not the right time... I'm on my period." Judie looked down.
That was a good excuse he supplied in the morning.
"Fine. I'm just a cripple. Other functions are intact. We will do it again in seven days, and you will become the real Mrs. Shield." Charles spoke coldly.
"OK." Judie nodded, looking down.
She thought the hickeys would disappear in seven days.
"Get up." Charles pushed her off his tighs.
Judie stood next to him and did not know what to do. Her hands were still tugging the collar.
Charles ignored her, picked up the robe, and propelled the wheelchair to the bathroom.
Soon there was the splash of water from the bathroom.
Judie felt relieved when the man was absent.
She sighed.
She thought she needed to see a doctor. She could not be considered as a dissolute woman by Charles.
Though she married him out of compromise, Judie had decided to live with him and be loyal to him.
He was disabled, but he had the most handsome face that she had ever seen. It was not too bad to married him for a poor girl.
What had happened last night would be an eternal secret.
When Judie sorted out her thoughts, Charles had done with the shower and came out in his robe.
He was 25 years old now. He lost his legs when he was 15 and had been living with his wheelchair for ten years. He could do many things by himself. Except for not being able to stand up, he was no different from others.
He got on the bed easily and nicely by pushing on the wheelchair. He tugged the blanket and put it on him, then closed his eyes slowly.
