Chapter 7 Nice Face and Figure

"I know you have great medical skills and were born in a medical family. But why don't you have the kindness and conscience a doctor should have? My daughter is less than five years old. She should have a long life ahead of her. But...but God didn't give her a sound body." Feeling agitated, Sophia actually threw the document at Leon. "Don't you have any compassion? Seeing a woman begging you like this, you don't even blink your eyes. Are you cold-blooded or..."

Before she could finish her words, her voice stopped abruptly. Leon had suddenly grabbed her by the neck and looked at her with a frosty expression, revealing a sneer. "You should have gotten to know me a little better before coming to me. You probably don't know that these hands of mine don't love saving lives. They love killing."

Sophia opened her eyes wide and looked at the man near at hand. A sudden chill passed through her spine.

She looked into his eyes and noticed her own panicked face from his dark pupils.

While tamping down the rolling fear in her heart, Sophia tried to push the man with her hands. "If you don't nod at my request, I'll keep pestering you until you do."

At her words, Leon narrowed his eyes.

The woman was more courageous that he expected.

He released her and snorted disdainfully.

"You want me to save your daughter. What bargaining chips do you have to negotiate with me?"

Negotiate?

Sophia perked up immediately. "I'll do whatever you want me to do if you save my daughter."

She then added, "But, I have no money..."

Ivy was born when Sophia was nineteen. Back then, she was just about to enter her sophomore year in college. Given no other choice, she had to drop out of school and stay at her rented place, which was the old house of Alice's family.

Later on, Alice's parents got divorced, and she followed her father to move to A Country. She was worried that things might be too difficult for Sophia. Thus, she brought her friend, who was still pregnant at that time to A Country. Sophia smoothly gave birth to Ivy there and then began to work while raising her child. She had been struggling to make ends meet and would have been broke had it not been for Alice's generous help.

Leon said in an indifferent tone of voice, "I don't need money."

"Well, I see." Sophia revealed a laden expression.

Although it was a relief for the woman that Leon did not want money, what exactly did he want then?

She was inferior to the man in terms of social status, family background, economy, fame, and everything else.

She really did not own the capital to negotiate with him.

While she was thinking hard, the man's gaze suddenly shifted from her face to her breasts and continued moving downward.

After sizing Sophia up for a while, Leon said, "You've got a pretty face and body, but I'm not short of women either."

Still, it was quite delicious for the man to recall the kiss from the day before.

"Huh?" Sophia gasped in surprise and then realized that Leon was measuring her with the eye. With her hands covering her breasts, she said furiously, "Don't even think about it!"

"Is this your attitude of asking for help?" Leon took his eyes off the woman and continued, "Besides, are you sure you know what I'm thinking?"

Sophia blushed as red as a rose with shame. "Of course I know what you're thinking."

What else could a man be thinking about if he was not thinking about sex when he was looking at a woman's body with that kind of sharp, bold look?

"What am I thinking about then?" Leon leaned back in his seat and crossed his legs gracefully, waiting for the woman's answer.

Sophia, however, bit her lower lip, tilted her head to one side, and said nothing.

Leon did not want to waste any more time. Thus, he lifted his hand to signal the bodyguard to kick Sophia out of the car.

In a moment of desperation, Sophia blurted out, "I can work at your house as a maid. I'm good at cleaning, cooking, and all the other kinds of housework."

"I have no shortage of servants." Leon directly broke the woman's illusion with his words.

The next moment, Sophia got dragged out of the vehicle.

Before the car drove away, she pointed at the window and shouted towards the man inside, "I'm not giving up."
