Chapter 7 Family Meal

The dishes were placed on a square marble table in the dining room of the Fitch's. Elliott walked downstairs, followed by Kent.

Both of them pulled a long face.

Only after seeing Sara did Elliott's face soften a bit. He pulled her to sit down at the table and said gently, "Sara, I've taught Kent a lesson. Don't worry. I'll always be on your side."

"Grandpa, I..." Sara wanted to say something, but the old man interrupted her immediately. She could only shut her mouth.

"Don't speak for him. I know how sad you are." Then, he stared at Kent who was expressionless. "If you don't give me a great-grandson, I'll kick you out of MC."

"Dad, how could you say so? It must be Sara's problem not to be pregnant. What's that to Kent?" Lilith was displeased, but she didn't dare to play too hard in front of Elliott. After attributing blame to Sara, she had a malicious stare at this innocent woman.

Kent remained silent, but his gaze at Sara was filled with greater coldness and disgust.

Elliott raised a brow and said solemnly, "Don't interfere in their business. Eat!"

The atmosphere was oppressive and heavy. Having not eaten for three days, Sara had no appetite for food. After eating a bit, she put down the chopsticks.

"Sara, you look much thinner. Do you feel unwell? This is the chicken soup I asked Mrs. Cook to make. Drink a bowl of it. It's good for your health." Elliott looked at Sara with concern.

"Thank you, grandpa."

When he turned to Kent, his tone suddenly became severe. "Drink a bowl of it to nourish your body. Give me a great-grandson as soon as possible."

After dinner, he required the whole family to sit down and enjoy fruit together.

"Dad, I... I have something to discuss with you," Lilith said hesitantly.

Elliott stroked his long, white beard and said in a flat tone, "Go ahead. Don't hem and haw." Then, he had an indifferent glance at her.

"Several days ago, Janet chatted with me by phone and told me she wasn't used to life abroad. I want to let her go home." Noticing a deep frown on Elliott's face, she went on hurriedly, "Although she's adopted, she's our beloved daughter and your granddaughter. I don't have the heart to keep her suffer abroad."

After saying that, she observed Elliott's emotions gingerly, afraid to irritate this old man. Seeing his slightly softened face, she sighed with relief.

Thinking of Janet's beautiful and arrogant face, Sara looked at Kent subconsciously. She remembered that he cared the most about his sister. But three years ago, for some reason, the Fitch's suddenly sent her to America.

Sara didn't notice that, when Kent heard Janet's name, his hands were clenched into fists on his lap. It was as if he was repressing something

Elliott had a look at Kent and then Sara. After thinking for a while, he nodded. "She can come back as long as she won't make trouble again! You must watch her closely."

"Thank you, dad." Finally relieved, Lilith smiled. At the same time, Kent's fists were also slowly loosened.

Under Elliott's gaze, Sara had got to sit into Kent's Bentley. But as soon as they went down the mountain, she sensed there was something wrong with Kent.

A strange blush appeared on his handsome face, his hands were veined while holding the wheel, and his breath also became fast and broken.

"Kent, are you all right?" she asked with worry. Her hand was slapped away as soon as it touched his forehead.

"Don't touch me!" There was a repressed but strong emotion in his cold voice.

"Your forehead is burning hot. Have you got a fever?" She ignored his fierceness automatically and frowned. "Let me drive you to the hospital!"

Kent looked at her with his frigid eyes, gritted his teeth, and said in a deep voice, "Isn't this what you want? Huh?" Then, he stopped the car.

Before she understood what he meant, he suddenly pressed his strong body against hers.

Shocked and scared, she opened her eyes wide.
